Flashback-Training with Monica

In barely one week since his arrival at Sword, Danny had already been tested to his limit, and frankly, he was starting to go mad.

"How many more of these am I gonna have to do," Danny said, holding his arm after his fifth blood test of the week.

"Only a few more, trust me, I wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't completely necessary. I need to know exactly how your powers work if I wanna help you control them better,"

"I can already control my powers pretty well," Danny said

"Are you sure about that?" Monica asked, showing Danny a chart on her tablet. "Your body generates some kind of pure unknown energy, but your speed and strength revolve around kinetic energy. I'm just trying to make sense of it," Monica explained.

"Alright, When's my next test?" Danny asked

"Right now, but don't worry this one isn't biological, and you might want to bring a jacket," Monica said

Danny grabbed his midnight blue Sword branded hoodie and trailed behind Monica, to an area Danny had never seen before. Monica scanned her finger on the scanner, and the door opened with a beep.

"What is this place," Danny asked looking around the empty white room, with a mat on the floor.

"This is my training room, " Monica said

"I thought the training room was in the gym," Danny replied

"It is, but this room isn't for training the body. Take a seat," Monica said sitting on the mat.

Danny sat down and started feeling the cold, thankful that Monica told him to bring his hoodie.

"This room was coincidentally built over a lay line," Monica said

"Lay lines, like the theoretical lines of electromagnetic energy?" Danny asked

"They're a lot less theoretical," She said, and Danny lifted an eyebrow in confusion

"I don't see the link between lay lines, and training," Danny said

"My powers allow me to manipulate electromagnetic energy. This room boosts my powers including my spectral vision, letting me not only see energy but read it as well,"

"So you're gonna read my powers, like a book?" Danny asked

"Exactly," Monica replied.

"So how does this work, do you have to trace runes like the Mr Strange guy you told me about?"

"Doctor Strange and no just turn on your powers and close your eyes,"

Danny turned on his powers, with the blue energy sparking from his body, and closed his eyes.

"Now focus on your powers and nothing else," Monica said, also with her eyes closed and he body began glowing yellow.

"You should see a white line flowing through the room," She said

Just as Monica said that somehow Danny was able to see it, even with his eyes closed. A white horizontal line flowing straight through him and Monica.

"I see it," He said, both amazed and confused.

"Now try and feed your energy through the line, like water through a straw," Monica said

Danny concentrated his energy into his chest, right where the line passes through him and projected it through. I moved down the line, where it connected Monica's yellow energy, making a small green spark where they touched,"

"God damn," Monica said astonished

"What, what happened?" Danny asked, making his energy line start to flicker.
