paw patrol: Cold Cold darkness

chapter 5: A lead to Everest.

Nobody's pov: The paw patrol had been searching leads to finding Everest where abouts. But they only found small thing mainly fur and bullets. The pups were split into groups with the cat pack as well.

With Chase's group in adventure city

Chase's pov: Me and my group were in adventure city looking for clues we first came along near by building we entered the building and we ask some of people inside the building.

Chase: Have you seen Everest?

Civilian: Oh no. I haven't sorry.

Chase: It find. Thank you for your time.

Skye: Have you seen this husky? Her name is Everest.

Civilian #2: No I haven't.

Skye: Thank you for your time.

Wild: Have you seen Everest?

Civilian #3: Nope sorry man.

Wild: it's fine. By the way nice jacket.

Cilvian #3: Thanks man.

Me and my group exited out of building we're in and we decided go to another building. And just like the last building we didn't get any answer we were looking for. Until I suddenly got scent of Everest.

Chase: Pups! I got a scent of Everest!

Skye: Yes! We finally have a lead on Everest!

We got into our vehicles and followed Everest scent and we found an old abandoned building.

With Ryder's group in Barkingburg.

Rocky's pov I was grouped up with Ryder and with Zuma in hopes to fine Everest. We looked in Barkingburg castle then the buildings even asked the townfolk there but to no avail. We about to go to another location until we got a call from Chase.

Chase: (on communicator) Ryder we got lead on where Everest could be at.

Ryder: Way to go Chase. I knew you could do. We might be far away from you guys so you might to have investigate without us.

Chase: (on communicator) Roger Ryder sir. We'll report back once we find anything. Over.

This brought joy to us. We finally found a lead to Everest. If we're lucky she could possibly be there.

With Everest

Everest pov: I was in my cell just waiting for Icecap to torture me some more. But suddenly got a knock from my cell room door.

Swift: Hey come on now. I got you something to eat and drink.

Everest: Just go away.... Please....

Swift: Alright find I guess you'll starve and dehydrate.

Everest: No wait. I'll take the food and drink.

The shackles detattached from the wall I landed on the floor then I got up and walked to the door to get my food and drink. I grabbed the tray and what I saw shocked me. It was fresh food and water. It was also what Marshall would make for in morning when I was tried. I began to eat the food then drink the water.

Swift: Better?

Everest: I guess... Wait.... How did you know?

Swift: How'd I know what?

Everest: How did you know what Marshall would make for me.

Swift: That was what your boyfriend would make for you in the morings?

Everest: Yes.

Swift: I just guess that's all.

Everest: There's nobody can just guess what would Marshall make for me in morning. How on earth did you know?

Swift: Just lucky I guess. Now please eat up before I changed my mind about giving you food or any drinks.

I did what he said and are my food and drink. After when I was done I put the food tray on the closed slot door tray and Swift took the tray.

Everest: Please be honest with me. Am I going to get tortured again?

Swift: No.

Everest: What?

Swift: I said no your not going to get tortured again. Beside I'm not like Snowfall. Even through I did some things as well.... Can I tell you something?

Everest: Sure I guess.

Swift: Your the first dog to ever make wonder about...

Everest: I am?

Swift: Yeah... For awhile I did thing that I sometimes wish I can just take back. You think I'm a villan, a monster or a killer and your right. But I have many reasons why I did those things.

Everest: I'm sorry. You said you had reason?

Swift: Yes. But I guess you wouldn't understand if I told you.

Everest: No no I'll listen. After all I'm all ears. (laughs a bit) Yeah that was joke from Marshall. But I'll listen. I promise.

Swift: *Sigh* One of reasons is that I felt like other people should suffer as I did. The lost of me and Chase's parents. Just changed me. After he convinced our dad to do his job which lead to his death. I blamed him of course. There is no excuse for what I've done. But I guess I just felt. Lonely.... I felt so empty.... You probably wouldn't understand what it feels like.

Everest: Of course I understand how it feels. When Marshall died it felt like a chunk of my heart broke off. I just miss him so much.

Swift: Hey, look I'm sorry for your loss. I bet he was nice guy.

Everest: He was. He was so *hic* caring and kind.

Swift: Hey now don't cry. I don't Marshall wouldn't want you to be sad. Would he?

Everest: No. No he wouldn't.

Swift: By the way. Thank you.

Everest: For what?

Swift: For being a great listener. It feel nice to talk it out to someone.

Everest: Yeah... Yeah it does.
