Nia was talking to Ren and Mazie in the gym before classes in the morning. All of Deer Valley High was expected to stay in the gym until the bell rang, which makes for an uncomfortable fit, but the students deal with it. Nia saw Caleb and Iris walk into the gym, and she waved at them. It had been only a year ago when she first met the pair of friends, and even then, the two were glued together. Some thought they were dating, but that was only because they didn't know Caleb and Iris personally. If they did, they would know that Caleb and Iris grew up like siblings and knew each other basically from birth. Also, Iris was a complete lesbian, but that was a fact no one but her closest friends knew. Iris and Caleb walked over to Nia and them, and then Ren chimed in and said, "Hey Caleb and Iris, how are you two?" Iris, "Good it took this guy fifty years to get ready this morning." Caleb said, "Well, in my defense, I was tired this morning. And I had no idea you were getting to my house so early! " This is how the pair normally acted. They would bicker like this until they went onto another subject. Just then, the bell rang, and Iris' and Caleb's bickering was cut short. The group got up and started walking to their first class.
