It was football practice Jace and his team were doing their normal routine for practice. They would just run through plays and play a quick game. Then towards the end they'd run a few laps and then have time to get water and get changed. Jace was quarterback had been for a year now, when he first joined the team his freshman year. Now he was a sophomore and though his position on the field was held, he knew if a talented enough freshman came along he could lose it. Or if a talented enough guy in general came his position could be compromised. Jace knew well enough that his position could be easily given to someone else, he was aware he wasn't the best. This knowledge kept him on his toes and kept him on his best game. And that is what Jace was thinking about as he was running laps with the team, it was one of those rare moments that Jace got a break to breathe and think without having to be Jace Morris the popular football player and son of the biggest business owner in Dear Valley who constantly bugged him to start shadowing him at the company so he could one day be his secessor. That was the last thing Jace wanted, Jace wasn't interested in taking over the company but he knew his dad would never give it to his sister or worse someone outside of the family, so he was stuck with a future planned out for him. A future he never could comfortably fit.
