It's been a while since he and I broke up. It's been a couple years since and slowly we both felt each other slip away from our lives, even after Hogwarts. There was always going to be a part of me that loved him. And that part of me attended his future birthday parties, helped him out with work at the Ministry despite inheriting his parents' money, and attending his wedding.

I still remember the look on his face when I gifted him and his wife, Astoria Greengrass, a painting I had done of them when they got engaged. The part of me that still loved him felt warm seeing him smile like that. It never felt one-sided. Draco and I knew deep down that we would love each other for eternity, just in different ways.

Draco and Astoria were there when I got proposed to. It was at me and my fiancé's Christmas party. He proposed to me right after we built what seemed to be, in my personal opinion, the perfect snowman. Draco and Astoria stood out in the corner of my eye, cheering me on.

Just recently, my fiancé fell ill. He was ill for a while and it pained me to see him in that state. It wasn't long until he passed.

I was in our house sorting through our things. I was preparing to move to France, along with my sister. Draco was helping me since he was the only one that knew about my fiancé's passing. I opened one of the boxes that was in my closet. It was a dusty textbook. I blew off some of the dust and it revealed to be one of my old textbooks from Hogwarts.

I slowly opened it to see all the notes I've written. As I turned more pages, I saw that my fiancé had written some things on it as well, back when we were only friends. I felt my heart ache as tears welled up.

"Hey, Y/n?" Draco says. I sniffled and quickly wiped the tears from my eyes. "Yeah?" I say as I turned to face him.

There he was. Holding up the wedding dress I never got to wear. I coughed on my tears. My hand covered over my mouth, trying to supress the sobs. "Hey... it's okay," he softly said as he put the dress on my bed and sat next to me. "Maybe you can still wear it?" He said, trying to comfort me.

I shook my head. "I'll wear it but he'll never get to see it."

Draco stood up and pulled me up by my hands. He grabbed the dress and handed it to me. "Wear it. I'll take you to him. And he'll get to see it. I promise."

I slipped on the dress and the matching shoes I had to go with it. I looked at myself in the mirror I had and in the corner, I see Draco looking at me in awe. "You look beautiful," he said. I smiled at him as a way to thank him for the compliment. "Come on."

He led me to his car and he drove me to the cemetery.

"Careful," he said as he took my hand and carefully helped me out of the car.

He led me right to my fiancé's grave.

I looked at Draco and I tried to tell him thank you, but no words could come out, but he knew. I looked closer at him, and I could the tears in his eyes slowly start to fall.

"I'll miss you, Y/n. Truly. You let me know if you ever need anything. France isn't that far," he says. I gave him a fond smile. "I know. You've been with me through everything. And you know I'll do the same for you. Always."

I sit down in front of my fiancé's grave and wave my want over his stone, placing flowers. Draco sits next to me and does lights a small candle.
