Summer's outfit is up there.
(alsoooo, changed scarlet's character cuz the red hair didn't rlly click w me)I SCROLL THROUGH Instagram stories and bubble my strawberry flavoured gum while Jenny is straightening my hair.
We all are at her house getting ready for the party. Scarlet is standing infront of the body length mirror in the corner of Jenny's room, holding two hangers with sparkly dresses on them. She places the blue one in front of her body and then does the same with the gold one, trying to decide which to wear.
She turns to us. "Which one?" She asks for our opinion, placing the dresses once again the way she did before.
"Pick the blue one, it looks good with your Vivienne Westwood necklace," Rachel suggests and I nod my head in agreement.
Scarlet's dad owns a big company and she's quite wealthy. She is really into fashion so she spends all of her money on shopping.
"You're right." Scarlet agrees and tosses the gold one on the floor. Then, starts changing out of her jeans and into her blue dress.
"Finished," Jenny exclaims, stops running the straightener through my hair and unplugs it.
"Thanks," I smile at her as I look into the mirror displayed infront of her makeup stand. I was sitting at a lilac cushioned stool and she was sitting on her rolling chair.
"Of course." She says and rolls away on her chair.
I had brought with me the dress I was going to wear. I bought it last week and I was looking forward to show it off. It compliments my curves and the girls said I looked smoking hot in it.
I get in the dress and look myself in the mirror trying to figure out what to do with my hair. Jenny had already straightened them for me but the weather is too warm to leave them down.
"Guys, what do I do?" I ask, frustrated. They gaze at me with a confused look on their faces.
"With my hair," I explain and they mumble a couple of ohs.
"If you want to put them up, I have a claw clip in my purse." Scarlet starts searching through her bag until she finds it and holds it out for me.
I take it from her palm and curl my brown locks around my index finger. Then stabilise them above the back of my neck, making it look like a ponytail. My front stands escape from the clip and round my face.
I slip on my silver heels and make a 360° turn infront of the mirror, taking in the final look. I look good. I think.
"Okay, is everyone ready?" Rachel asks and we all hum in assurance. "Let's go."
~
We arrive at Ryder's house in Rachel's car. I'm going to be the one driving us back since I'll stay sober.
Rachel opens the car door for me. "Milady," she bows at me and I giggle, hooking my arm with hers. We get on top of the stairs, Scarlet and Jenny following us only a step behind with their arms hooked as well.
"Copy cats." I accuse them playfully and shove Jenny on the side lightly. They chuckle softly and Scarlet unhooks her arm from Jenny's to twist the handle of the door.
I do the same to straighten my dress with my hands.
As soon as we enter the house, blasting music fills my ears and I can hardly hear anything else other than that.
Rachel clicks her fingers infront of me to catch my attention. "Me and Jenny are going to get some drinks, you coming?" She yells over the music and I shake my head, refusing their offer.
I walk over to a barstool and take a seat, my legs swinging instead of touching the floor.
"Hey!" I almost scream to catch the attention of the boy standing behind the bar. "Can I get anything other than alcohol?"
He stops chatting with two blondies and glances at me, "Um, there's soda."
"I'll take that, thanks."
He fills a red cup with soda and hands it to me over the bar. I get down from the barstool and take a sip from my fizzy drink, making my way to the living room.
I recognize a boy from my history class, sitting alone and staring at his phone. "It's Zack, right?"
He looks up from his phone and I take a seat next to him on the couch. "Yes. And you're Summer?" He questions.
"Mhm, Summer Jones."
He gives me his hand and I shake it "Zack Miller," he introduces himself and my eyes widen. He's Brianna's brother? I can actually see they look very much alike.
Before either of us can say anything else, a guy comes from behind the couch and taps Zack on the shoulder. "Sorry, got to go. See you around," he says and follows the unknown guy somewhere else.
I sigh, looking around. I notice Brianna and the rest of her group. Speak of the devil.
They're sitting at another couch and playing what seems to be a drinking game.
Brianna laughs loudly, turning her head up and that's when she sees me. "Oh my Gosh! You're the girl that Logan brought here on Monday!" She exclaims putting a hand over her mouth and everyone turns to look at me. All I wanted for tonight was to avoid these people. That's just fucking great.
"Oh yeah, what's your name again?" Alice asks from beside her. I just want the earth to open up and swallow me.
"It's Summer," I gulp and start fidgeting with my hands behind my back.
Alice claps her hands. "Yeah that's it! Do you want to play ping pong drink with us?" I literally told her that I don't drink five days ago. I mentally roll my eyes.
"I don't drink." I repeat my words from Monday evening and she stares at me for a second before a wave of realisation hits her.
"Ohhhh yes you have already told me that, sorry," she apologises and I nod in acceptance, turning on my heel to disappear the fuck out of there. But suprise suprise somebody had to stop me again.
"You're welcome to stay and watch." Dylan grins at me.
I think about it for a while. I really have nothing better to do and just watching wouldn't hurt... "Um, okay. I guess I can stay here for a little while."
Oh, it definitely wasn't a little while.
. . .
Short chapter but update is coming soon!
So... It wasn't a little while? What does Summer mean by that?
I'll guess we'll have to wait to find out...What's your opinion on Brianna and Alice? I don't know if I should make them nice or mean. I'm thinking nice, wbu?
