IT'S MONDAY, the day after Logan and I's moment— as Dylan would say.
It's time for lunch and the only question going repeatedly through my mind as I walk in the cafeteria is; why the fuck are the girls sitting over at Logan's group's table?!
Instead of going there I quickly head to grab some food and get at the end of the line formed of hungry highschoolers.
I make sure not to be seen by the girls, nor Logan's group. I grab a tray and start filling it with food. I get a turkey sandwich, a cookie and a small juicebox. I'm still a kid at heart.
What do I do now? Do I just walk over there? WHY ARE THEY SITTING WITH HIS GROUP?! I need answers. And to calm the fuck down.
I take a deep breath and make my way over to their table, careful to balance my tray in my hands.
I sit down next to Jenny and slam my tray on the table, turning all the attention to me.
I don't give anyone a chance to talk nor greet me. "Care to explain why the fuck are we sitting here?"
Everyone stares at me surprised by my sudden rage. I couldn't give less of a fuck.
"Well?" I raise my eyebrows and look around at the table, questioning my best friends.
"Fiesty, I see," Blake breaks the silence upon the table. All the heads turn from me, to him. Some of them roll their eyes, others glare at him and the rest chuckle slightly. I'm one of the two that glare. The other one is Logan. Weird.
"Summer, please calm down." Jenny whispers from beside me. I roll my eyes but try to obey. I'm kinda overreacting.
It's just been a hell of weekend and I'm so not in the mood to deal with all of this. I sigh.
"Sorry," I apologise to everybody. "But can someone please explain to me why we're sitting here? I don't understand."
Scarlet and Aaron share a look. Oh my gosh. I totally forgot their make out session on Saturday. Is this why we're here?
"It's okay Summ." Scarlet smiles sweetly at me. "I understand your reaction. Um, so me and Aaron are sort of dating-"
"Yeah, I got that from seeing you guys make out at the party." I say and Scarlet widens her eyes, so does Aaron.
"You saw that?" Aaron exclaims, kinda embarrassed making me chuckle at his redden cheeks.
"Yep. You guys were pretty intense by the way." I grimace and everyone laughs except the two lovebirds that were looking around trying to avoid talking about this.
"It's normal. Couples make out, people!" Aaron yells, a bit to loud causing some other teenagers in the cafeteria to stare at him.
"Scar, please tell me this didn't start at the party and you and Aaron just decided to drag everyone from your groups to sit together just for a silly makeout."
"Actually, me and Aaron have been seeing eachother through summer."
I sit up immediately. "What do you mean? How am I involved in this?" Aaron opens his mouth to explain but realisation hits me. "Oh. Yeah... you're talking about the season... Not everything's about me. Got it. Yup, go on." I sit back down awkwardly.
Rachel chirps in the conversation, "Summer, you're really tense today. Are you ok?" There's worry in her eyes as she puts a hand on my shoulder from next to me.
"Did something happen?" Jenny asks from the other side of me with the same expression as Rachel's on her face.
"Guys nothing happened. It just came to me all at once. You didn't even let me know we were going to sit here with them." I pause to gesture my hand to Logan's group. "And I just came in here to find out all of you at this table."
Scarlet looks at me puzzled. "But I texted you that we were going to sit here just before."
"Oh fuck. Sorry, Scarlet. This should have been the first thing come to mind that you probably texted me. I just don't have my phone on me at the moment because I got grounded by it for a week." I explain.
"What? Why were you grounded?" Rachel and Jenny say at the say time.
"Because I didn't come home at Saturday." I shrug, picking at my sleeves.
At that, Logan tries to hold back his laugh. Everyone notices obviously and they start looking back and forth between us. Oh no.
"SUMMER TATE JONES!" Whole name. Here it comes. "WHY DIDN'T YOU GO HOME ON SATURDAY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY WHY THE FUCK IS LOGAN BLACK LAUGHING AT THAT?" Jenny yells practically scolding me.
"Oh I think we know, Jenny." Ryder winks at me and I kinda—screw kinda. I really wanna die.
Not this again.
"So you and Logan finally fucked?" Brianna questions, clinging to Ryder's arm.
I still very much wanna die. More than before.
"It seems like we've got two more lovebirds at this table." Dylan smirks at the two of us.
"Dylan! What the heck? You know damn well that me and Logan aren't... fucking. You were there! I was just too drunk and fell asleep at Ryder's backyard. It's not a big deal." I say exhausted from this whole situation.
"You fell asleep at my backyard?"
Ryder's question makes Logan laugh again and he puts a hand over his mouth trying to stop the laughter. "She- she fell asleep on- on a floatie in your p-pool and then fell in." He stutters between laughs.
I deathglare at him and he goes immediately still and silent. That's how you do it, kids.
I mentally high five myself for being able to scare him that easily. It was fun seeing the horror in his eyes.
I think I'm a bad person...
Anyway.

School's over. As we walk out of the school's gates with my friends, Scarlet is explaining to me her whole relationship with Aaron and why she decided to mix the two groups together.
"Wait so you guys have been together for 3 months? That's great!" I congratulate her.
She gives me a fond smile, "so you have no problem with our groups being mixed together?"
"No, it's okay. I guess I can handle that..." I really can't but whatever. Everyone's fine with it, so I have to be fine with it.
