- Liza, I really need you to go to Hellfire tomorrow ! begged a little redhead.

In the old house of the Mayfields, the older of the two girls had just returned. She was exhausted ; not the easiest thing to do all a day in a crowded high school when you haven't been out of your house for three months.
She let her old bag crash on the floor and her body fell onto her bed with the crunch of the mattress springs.

Elizabeth's head was about to explode, her limbs were numb. She wanted to sleep, to sink into the depths of drowsiness as she had wished all day, not to be disturbed with teenagers stories.

She didn't answer her younger sister, she didn't feel like it.

- Please, I almost never talk to boys anymore, but you can ! I'll do your chores for two weeks, she argued, hoping to convince her sister.

- It could bring back good memories of California, right ? You know, when you used to play in the basement of our house... Maxine was cut off by the redhead.

- I don't want to remember California. We're not there anymore.

The smaller girl sighed, she knew that asking her for this kind of favor wasn't going to be fun. But she wanted to try. She wanted to give back the taste of things to her elder, to give her the taste of playing like she used to in California. And there was a peculiarity in the Hellfire that told her that they had the ability to turn her hell into something great.

- They're still my friends, I know how much that matters to them. If I can't participate, can I at least ask the world's best big sister ? Plus it's a opportunity to meet people, it can't be that bad, she pointed out.

At that very moment, Elizabeth wanted nothing more than to be left alone. She was desperately hoping to be allowed to take a break, and she knew that day wouldn't come until her answer satisfied Maxine.

- Four, she said.

- What ? the younger girl asked, surprised.

- Four weeks of chores and I'll go, said the older girl.

- Deal, said Max, shaking hands with her sister.

- And Eddie Munson can't be as bad as they say, she added before heading back to her room in a trot.

It took Elizabeth a few seconds to fully comprehend the information. Because going to the Hellfire meant spending time with Eddie Munson, her weird neighbor whom she saw selling drugs to whoever wanted to across the street or in the woods behind the school. She didn't really liked Eddie Munson. Because something inside her kept calling out his name.

- Eddie Munson... Shit, Elizabeth sighed as she realized that he would be there too.

The change she had been so worried about was starting right here, right now, and she had no idea what kind of crap she had just gotten herself into.
