I looked at my phone as I was watching some tv to see a text message from serenity

Girl you trynna go to the mall with me I'm bored and need to add a few items to my closet
Sure what time??
Right-now I'm not trynna go at night you know it be shootings at night especially on that block and I'm not trynna get caught up in all that
True alr im going to pick you up I could use a few item in my closet as well

Ok
I stopped texting her and got ready throwing on some sweatpants with a fitted shirt throwing my hair in a messy bun and grabbing my purse stuffing my charger, my wallet, my perfume, some deodorant, some gum, and some lipgloss in it and walking down the stairs
I grabbed my glasses and keys off the island counter and started walking out the door just to hear my mom say "where do you think you going?" In her sassy mother voice
"To the mall with serenity and jay, we just want to add a few pieces to our closets and we won't be long" I replied to her reassuringly
"Ok be safe you know the then gangs and stuff be rolling through those streets so make sure y'all stick together and watch where y'all going at all times" she said
My momma loved me and my friends but she wanted us to be safe and didn't want any of us to get hurt
"Ok" I said to her as I closed the door and locked it from the outside
I got into the car and drove to get serenity and she texted me that jaydan was going to come with us so I also was going to get her as well
—————— We walked through the mall making sure we were together and just having ldle chit chat when we passed a few people running around the mall they started screaming and we got worried and were wondering what all the commotion was about
Serenity took a peak to see a few masked men with guns coming straight for us and shooting at random people
The lights in the mall started flickering and at this point everyone in the mall was going crazy
Jaydan pulled me and serenity into a shop and we found a door that could lock so we ran into the room
Jaydan closed the door and all we heard were gunshots and people screaming as they passed by the store we were in after a few hours the mall went silent
