As Lara got dressed again, in the clothes she'd borrowed last night, Namjoon was texting on his phone. He frowned at some messages, laughed at others and finally nodded once.
"Alright, we're going to meet up in my office. Petrov is still sleeping. Ginny and Hoseok think he'll awaken within the next hour or two and then we can begin to get them shipped off to a location of their choice. Lisa Balagula informed Jimin last night that she thought her father had brought guards with them to the city," Namjoon said frowning at his phone again as Lara slipped on the house slippers she'd found.
"They must be frantic by now. Why didn't that idiot girl say anything last night," Lara murmured and made Namjoon laugh.
"Yoongi said pretty much the same thing in our chat just now. We'll work with her some more and get some kind of message to them shortly. I haven't decided that she's not a threat, but Jin didn't pick up any movement from outside the medical suite last night on the cameras, so we're positive that she stayed put."
Lara looked at Namjoon as he sat in his chair by the windows and smiled slightly.
"I love seeing this side of you," she said softly, and he raised his head to look at her. "I always thought you were the leader of our little group, but now you've put that into practice." She walked from the bed to where he was sitting in his chair in front of the windows, and he drew her down onto his lap for a moment.
"I promise I will walk you through everything we do here in the Tower. No more secrets in that regard my Lara," he said as he thumbed her chin, and she tilted her head towards him again. "You'll see when we get down to my office. I think, knowing you, that having that information will help you decide what you want to do next," he said softly, and Lara winced a little.
She did want more information. Just the Tower itself intrigued her. The idea that her friends had actually been working for Appa Powell all this time. That her little brother had run missions for foreign governments. That the man in front of her, wasn't just the clumsy adorable nature loving art fanatic that she remembered. That instead, the friends she remembered from university, were actually hired killers? The man that she had these feelings for, killed other people for his job? Lara struggled to merge those two ideas together.
She realized she wasn't being entirely fair. After all, it wasn't like she and Blair had convinced everyone at Sentinel to be nice polite office workers either.
Lara stood up at Namjoon's nudge and she watched as he gathered the items he wanted, a tablet and his watch and then he led the way back to the elevator. Lara thought as she walked with him, about what Namjoon's disclosures about what Bangtan did, really meant for her and the others.
She knew there was so much that still needed to be settled, but Lara knew she was going to need to sit down with her own team shortly. There had been too much new information, and no time to really think any of it through yet.
Lara watched as the door of the elevator opened to yet another floor she hadn't seen yet.
Namjoon led her past rows after rows of metal racks, and she paused as one of the racks was open enough to see what was inside. She gasped a little at the sight of the armory in front of her, and then her eyes widened even more as she counted the number of racks she could see.
Namjoon turned to see where she was and waited until she looked at him again.
Lara opened her mouth to ask questions, but nothing came out. Namjoon laughed a little self-consciously, rubbing the back of his neck with one hand, then came back and took her hand in his. When he spoke, his voice held a more serious note than any she'd heard before.
