3rd Person POV
'Welcome to your new home, Mrs Davenport!' Donald said as he walked through the door, carrying Tasha in his arms and spinning her around.
'Why, thank you, Mr Davenport.'
'Absolutely, Mrs Davenport.' They kissed as Leo walked through the door, carrying some bags.
'We get it, you guys are married. It's getting old.' Donald put Tasha down and Leo put the bags down. 'Wow!' Leo exclaimed as he looked around. 'You got this big house just from inventing things?' Donald nodded. 'Way to go, Mom. That's a husband.' He said pointing at his new stepdad. 'Kathy's gonna love this place. I better texted her and tell her the address of this place.' He quickly got his phone out and texted his best friend. He also added some pictures, so she knew what to expect. Donald and Tasha went to kiss again, but they were interrupted when Leo asked, 'What the heck is that?'
'Oh, uh, that is my latest creation. Davenport Industries' first complete interactive 3D TV.' He waved his hand near it and a holographic baseball field appeared. It was a live game. The ball flew out of the hologram. Leo went to catch it, but he bumped into the wall instead.
'Watch the vase, termite!' The thing on the screen behind Leo said, making him jump.
'Mom, I think the little voice inside my head is back.'
'No, this is Eddy. He's my smart home system. Eddy, this is my new stepson, Leo. Remember, I told you Leo and Tasha are moving in today?'
'Don't forget Kathy!' Leo pointed out.
'Right, yes, of course. And Katrina.' He said to the home system.
'Hey, welcome. Everything here is mine. And you can tell that to Katrina when, or if, she ever gets here.'
'Uh, Leo, why don't you go check out your new bedroom? Just go straight down that hallway, and when you see the room with the video games and the action figures and the 50-foot-screen TV, keep walking, that's mine.' As quickly as his face lit up, the look disappeared. Leo began to walk through the corridor that Donald pointed at.
Leo had been walking around for what felt like hours, but he still couldn't find his new room. 'This place is huge! I'm gonna need a GPS just to find the bathroom.' He leaned against the wall and accidentally hit a keypad. A wall dissolved, revealing a silver door with a weird, red symbol on it. The doors opened and Leo walked into the elevator. 'Hello?' He walked in a little further and the doors closed behind him.
Without any warning, the elevator suddenly jolted down and started to move down at an incredibly fast speed. Leo started to scream, obviously not expecting it to go down at that speed, that quick.
It stopped a couple of seconds later. The doors opened and Leo was hiding behind one of the walls. He peered out and walked out, looking around. He was in some sort of lab. 'Whoa!' He exclaimed as he saw the tech on the desk. 'My new dad is Batman!' The set of doors in front of him opened. Leo panicked and hid behind some giant, yellow barrels.
A boy ran through and closed the door. 'Good luck gettin' in! That steel door is thicker than your head.' The boy said. He was in some sort of weird suit and his hair was dark and styled in a way that really didn't suit him. There was a loud bang and a huge dent in the door, which made both of the boys jump.
'What the hell is going on? Who is that?' Leo thought. He decided to stay quiet and watch whatever was going on.
The two doors fell to the ground with a loud clattering sound. Another boy appeared in the gap and gave the first boy a look. 'Well, there's another way to get in.' He said, clearly nervous that the other boy got through the broken-down door.
