Chapter 79: Breaking Point

Evander's Pov

(One day later)

I was fully healed from my fight with Hobgoblin as Me, Wanda, the kids, and mum was back at home talking about things and I put Billy and Tommy to bed upstairs and went back down stairs as I saw mum and Wanda was cooking.

Evander: What are you guys cooking?

Wanda: It's a secret.

Evander: Bullshit.

Angel: it is a secret that only me and Wanda know so you won't try and mess it up like you did with that one dish.

Evander: that was just one time jeez would you let it out?

Angel: No you almost burn down the house that time.

Evander: I was ten at the time jeez!

Wanda: *laughs a bit* For real?

Angel: Oh dear let me tell the whole story.

I groans as mum was telling Wanda the story of how I almost burn down the house and she started laughing I just sighed and shakes me head as they continued taking. but out of nowhere my spider sense went off as I looked around for the danger and saw a red laser pointing at Wanda I dashed forward and moved her out of the way as it was a laser sight to a gun as it fired inside.

Evander: You okay?

Wanda: Y-yeah. *looks behind me* Oh no...

Evander: *looks behind me* Wh-No!!

I saw mum on the ground bleeding out fast as she was hit with the bullet, I soon rushed towards her.

Evander: Mum!

Angel: *panting heavily* T-take the kids and run. Please.

Evander: No! I'm not leaving you here! Wanda watch her!

I rushed outside as it was nighttime as I looked over where the shot was fired and threw a car at it. I then came back inside and grabs my damaged black mask and put it on then picks up mum as I jumps out and web swing fast towards the nearest hospital.

Evander: *web swing* Hang in there mum! We're almost there!!

Angel: W-we won't make it i-i-*passes out*

Evander: No! No!! 

I rushed faster as I got to the hospital and bust through the doors.

Evander: help this woman had been shot! Help her please!!!

The nurses rushes over man and help me put mum on a strecher and the rushed her through the doors. I then went back home and to the area where the gun was shot and saw a goon on the ground, I grabbed him by his neck and moves him over the ledge.

Evander: Who you work for.

Goon#3: I'll never talk!

Evander: *breaks his arm* Talk.

Goon#3: F-fuck you.

Evander: *growls and slammed him in to the ground and stepped on his head* Better start talking or else. *starts pressing my foot down on his head*

Goon#3: *screaming in pain* I'll talk! I'll talk!!

Evander: Who hired you?

Goon#3: K-kingpin! Kingpin order me to do this.

Evander: Where is he?

Goon#3: I-in h-his penthouse in Upper Manhattan!

Evander: Good.

I then punched him hard in the face causing him to knocked out and I jumped back into the house and saw Wanda.

Wanda: Where is your mom?

Evander: At the nearest hospital excatly three miles from here. Grabs the kids and go to here I have to do something.

Wanda: Do what?

Evander: Make the man who caused this to suffer dearly.

Wanda: No you need to stay with your mom.

Evander: No Wanda take the kids and go. Please.

Wanda: *sighs* Alright don't do anything crazy please.

Evander: No promises.

I saw Wanda went up stairs and came back with the kids and soon rushed out of the house to the hospital where mum is. I went up stairs into my room and pulled out the case that T'Challa had gave me and when I opened it, there was a necklace as I took off my mask and looks at it.

Evander: *holds it* Thank you T'Challa and Shuri for this. Now Kingpin I'm gonna make you suffer. 

I put the necklace on as it started to form nanotech around me.

As the nanotech fully covers me as I looked at the mirror to my new suit.

Evander: *clenches my fist* Time to pay.

I drive out of my window and started to make my way to Upper Manhattan to fight Kingpin and put him in his place.
