Nightmares

(Auther's P.O.V)

As Y/n put her book back onto her desk she noted to herself to add side tables one either side of her bed before she turned off the light and curled up soon falling asleep. In the other room Fred was already fast asleep his sleep filled with dreams of the girl right across the hall but alas she wasn't as lucky.

----Y/n's nightmare---

Y/n was stood in the kitchen of 12 Grimald Place as she cleaned and cooked when a bang sounded down the hall. She went to go investagat it hoping that maybe her friends and family had arrived early, but instead stood on the opposit end of the hallway was the man from Diagon Ally. Y/n tried to run but it seemed the hall grew longer as she tried to escape, he soon reached her grabbing hold of her arm. She screamed as she tried to reach for her wand, but he knocked it away as he shoved her against the wall that creepy grin on his face. Y/n continued trying to get him off while screaming for help but no one came to her rescue as he pulled out his wand to scilence her.

(Fred's P.O.V)

I shot out of bed as I heard a scream down the hall, not even bothering to grab a shirt I sprinted out and into the next room where Y/n was laying in her bed covered in sweat as she thrashed around and screamed. I moved to the side of the bed and started to gently shake her.

"Y/n, sh Y/n your okay! Your safe!" I told her. She sat bolt upright as she scanned the room quickly. Her eyes stopped on me as her breatheing slowed and she pulled her legs up to her chest.

I stood awkwardly not wanting to over step my ondries till she started to cry I couldn't stand there and watch her cry. I sat down on the bed and scooped her into my arms holding her close as I rubbed her back. I had only just met this girl and yet every where that I touched her felt like fireworks shooting through my body.

"I-i'm sorry for waking you!" She said after she calmed down a bit.

"It's okay! Do you want to talk about it?" I ask her.

"I-it was just a nightmare," She told me but she still shock in fear as she once again scanned the room.

"It might help to talk about it! You don't want to be scared of it and have another nightmare about it." I told her not really wanting to leave her alone.

"It is just that man, the one from Diagon Ally. He really scared me!" She seemed to move closer as she said this. I pulled her even closer and hugged her.

"You know my Dad always told me that iif you flip your pillow over and have some water it helps to wash the nighmares away." I told her as I reached over to her pillow and flipped it over.

"Yeah, my Dad(Sirius) said the same. As if flipping the pillow catches the bad dream on the other side and the water washes away the memorise! I don't know! My dad is a little weird!" She laughed before yawning.

"You should get some sleep! I'll be  right across the hall if you need me! Don't be afraid to wake me!" I said summoning a glass of water that I handed to her before going to leave.

"A-actually, c-could you stay with me tonight?" She asked stuttering after taking a sip of the water.

"Of course," I said as we both climbed into her bed.

She placed the glass of water on the floor next to the bed before she moved closer to me as she curled up again. I felt my arms moving to wrap around her waist. She tensed a little before relaxing into my arms.

(Y/n's P.O.V)

I didn't know what I was saying when I asked him to stay in my room with me, but I was plesently suprised when he climbed into bed with me. He wrapped is arms around my waist to which I felt my body tense at the feeling before I relaxed into his arms letting the feelings of fireworks and butterflies shooting through my body. I tried to get comftable and unconsously moved my head onto his bare chest as he only wore a pair of Dad's old Gryfindore trackies.

I froze as I relised what I had done my cheeks going bright red but Fred only seemed to pull me closer as we both drifted off to sleep. I felt safe in this mans arms even if I hadn't known him very long he had ample opertunity to hurt or even kill me and yet he hadn't he had been nothing but kind to me.

This time my sleep wasn't plagued with nightmares but rather dreams about what this whole new world (a new fantastic point of view) would bring to me now that I had someone to guide me. I smiled softly even in my sleep being held in Fred's arms, I think I will do just right in this new world that I had wanted for so long to discover. I still had to work out where to go from here but this was a good start, I had new friends, or at least one new friend.

(Sorry about it dragging on so long I wanted it to reach a certain length. It is still shorter than planned but it will do!)
