My body finally gave up and I fainted into the cold grass.

My eyes were closed but I could still see the bright lights on the ceiling. I opened my eyes slowly and blinked a couple of times.
I was not where I last remember being. I was laying down in a bed with white walls, flooring and ceiling.

I was in bed, but not my bed. I was definitely not home. There were tubes all over my arms and I felt one in my nose.

There were people sitting around me, people I knew.

"Y/N! You're awake! Oh my gosh!" Sidney exclaimed. 2 other faces lit up when they heard Sidney.

"Oh my god, Y/N!" Billy stopped reading a celebrity magazine and put his attention on me. Stu smiled and seemed relieved.

"What happened?" My voice was rough from not speaking for so long.
"You were attacked yesterday, Y/N." Stu's smile turned into a frown and his eyes seemed dull.

"What? Is my mom okay? Where is she?" I looked at the 3 of them hoping for an answer.
They all looked down with a sad expression on their faces.

"Oh..." Is all I managed to say after catching on. My mom was dead.

"Y/N, if you ever need to talk about it, you can always talk to me." Sidney held my right hand and gave me a smile.
"Thank you, Sid." My voice was still rough and my heart hurt. I wanted to cry but I was in pain.

"My dad needs me home, it's almost 7pm. I'll be back tomorrow though." Sid grabs her small purse and walks out of the room.

"Y/N, we were so worried about you!" Stu holds my left hand and kissed it. That's new.

"Stu, you flirt a lot for someone who's in a relationship." I pull my hand away from his grasp.

"I'm not in a relationship, not anymore."
"What?" I gave him a weird look. "Why?" I thought you loved Tatum? Despite the fact that "she kisses weird"?" I raised my eyebrows.

"I just wasn't feeling it anymore. Plus, she cheated like a million times." Stu rolls his eyes and shakes his head.
"I'm sorry." I felt a little happy that Stu wasn't with Tatum anymore. Which is wrong, but I felt hope for some reason.

I noticed Billy was wearing a long sleeve shirt, which is weird. It's been super humid and hot the last couple days.

"Billy?"
"Yes, princess?" He stopped staring at the ground and gave me his full attention. I blushed at the nickname and my eyes widened a little. I was not expecting that.

"Um...why are you wearing long sleeves? Isn't it supposed to be hot today?"
"My cat scratched me up suuuper bad. I didn't want anyone to see."

"You have a cat?" I raised one eyebrow with a shockedish look on my face.
"Yeah. You have a problem with that, princess?"
I ignored Billy's question and started getting mad at him for these pet names.

"I know Stu isn't in a relationship now, but I know you are, Billy. Stop with the pet names." My voice cracked a little so it wasn't intimidating as I hoped it would be.

"Hahaha! You're cute when you're angry." Billy smirked at me and then leaned into my face. My eyes widened.
He kissed my forehead and walked out of the room.

"Umm.." I was speechless.

"Y/N, can we talk?" Stu grabbed my hand.
"Oh yeah! About?"

Stu climbed onto the right side of my bed and held both of my hands. He laid his head on my shoulder.

"What do you want to talk about?" I rest my head on top of his.
"Anything." He seemed relaxed.

"Well I really don't know what to talk about. My mind is a bit fuzzy." I looked down at his hands intertwined with mine.

There was a long but peaceful silence. I lightly smiled at this moment. I felt safe and happy-despite what happened to me yesterday.

"How long do you think I'll be in here for?" I broke the silence but I spoke quietly.
"I bet you 20 bucks that you'll be in here for a month." Stu sounded confident in his answer.
"I say 2 months. I was stabbed, Stu."

"Well, we'll just have to see then." Soon Stu fell asleep while holding my hand. I couldn't fall asleep because I had just woken up so I just read some magazines, patiently waiting for Stu to wake up.

While I was flipping through the pages of a fashion magazine, Stu started to move a little bit.
He let go of my hand and rubs his eyes.

"Oh, I guess I fell asleep." Stu gets up slowly and rubs his eyes again.
"I didn't snore, did I?" He had a kind of panicked look on his face.
I giggled but quickly stopped when my side started to hurt. I guess I forgot I was wounded.

"Oh my god, are you okay?" Stu quickly ran to my bed and placed his hand on my shoulder.
I managed to shake my head yes and squeezed my eyes shut.

"I'll go get a nurse." Stu quickly walked out of the room to look for a nurse.

Stu's POV:

After searching for a nurse, I finally found one and we quickly made our way to Y/N's room.

"They're in here!" I'm out of breathe a little while the nurse runs over to Y/N's aid. Seeing them in pain hurts me. Even if I've known them for a couple of days, so what?

"I'll be checking in every 6 hours with your pain medication. Remember no laughing, no laying on your left side, no playing with the bandage wrap." The nurse stated firmly and tapped on her clipboard and walked out of the room.

I walked over to Y/N, who seemed to be down after what the nurse just told them.
"I'm sorry, Y/N."  I sat on the foot of their bed and frowned.

"It's okay, I guess." They sighed.
"I'll check in with you everyday. So you won't be lonely. I don't know about Billy or Sid but you can count on me." I inched closer to them and reached for their hand. I smiled when our hands intertwined.

"Thanks Stu, that's really nice of you." They gave me a toothy smile. My cheeks felt a little warm when they smiled.

"I'm going to go home, its a little late-I'll be here first thing in the morning." I slowly let go of their hand as I got up and walked out of room.

Y/N's POV:

Stu kept his promise and did visit me everyday. He would bring movies, tell me about what's happening at school, talk crap about Nightmare on Elm Street and also constantly flirt with me.

It had been 3 weeks now since my attack and I'm still in the same condition I was 3 weeks ago. But I could at least giggle now.

Stu was cradled into me again, holding my hands, flirting with me.

"Y/N, I really do think you're amazing. I know I say it a lot and it probably doesn't mean anything to you but I truly do think it." I blushed.

"Thank you, Stu. I think you're awesome too." I was smiling really hard at this.

It was silent for a while.

"I have to tell you something, Y/N." Stu's sweet tone disappeared. He seemed serious.
