The man that live next to you was quiet and brooding and sometimes you wondered what was on his mind.
John Wick was his name, and of course, you found him quite attractive. If only you weren't so shy. But then again, it wasn't like the movies, you wouldn't expect him to say yes and have feelings for you too. You weren't that stupid.
You watch him from your kitchen window as he slowly gets out of his black polished Mustang. He had come back from work? He wore a lovely all-black suit. It seemed like he always wore suits that were black, it suited him, like any other man.

Both of you live in Mill Neck. A quiet place indeed, somewhere you like to be.
You were only in your early twenties though, so people found it quite interesting that you chose to be out here all alone.
Mill Neck was beautiful, you remember coming across this place 2 years ago and you were sold. You were even lucky to find that there was a house on sale there. The few years of working hard had paid off and you were able to buy the house. And a little later down the track, you noticed that you had a neighbour.
He never spoke to you actually and for that, you were kind of disheartened but judging by the way he looked, he wasn't much of a people person.
You found out his name when you had a package delivered to you, but it was meant for him. And when you went down to his house, you found that he wasn't home, so you left the package in a safe place.
A year had gone by and the two of you hadn't spoken, and you were getting rather frustrated...

He might want to talk to you too, but he doesn't know when to?

You don't know about that, and you sure as hell weren't going to find out because you were too much of a coward to go over and greet yourself.

The kettle clicked and you made yourself a hot tea before heading out to stand on the balcony which overlooked the valley. You could see John's house further down the road as well.
Looking the other way, you could see the dense bush which hid the river where you had walked down in the summer.
When you friends and family had come over, you had all gone for walks. But not it was winter and there was no way in hell that you were going to go over there and risk getting wet. That would be suicide.
An unknown bird screetched as it flew over your house and you looked up and squinted. You had finished your work for the day.
Working from home wasn't too bad. The first few days were good, but then after a while you wanted to get out and about.
The job was partially why you moved out here, so that you'd be able to drive to work when you're actually needed on site, but that didn't happen too often, but still, the move was nice.
Taking a sip of your tea, you notice John coming out of his house a few minutes after going inside.

Such a mysterious man you are Mr. Wick.

One day you would pluck up the courage to go up to him and ask how he is, and actually introduce yourself to him... And you guess that will be the day where you'll find out if he's worth your time.
