You hadn't slept a wink.

The fear inside of you kept you awake for most of the night. You were afraid that he would come to your house. You were his only neighbour and it looked like he was a pretty smart guy.
You couldn't stay in your house forever though, or ignore him if he chose to talk to you, otherwise, he'd suspect it was you at his house last night if he hadn't seen you properly.

'What am I going to do?'

You said out loud to yourself as you got ready and grabbed your back. You had made an order in one of your favourite clothing stores but they didn't do delivery.
When you stepped outside you froze when you saw John running past, all dressed in his activewear. His eyes met yours and he slowed down, 'so we finally meet outside the grocery store then', he gives you a gentle smile, 'going out to do some shopping then?'
You swallow your fear and give him a toothy grin, you have to play this out carefully.

'I ordered some clothes from my favourite shop! It's finally in but they don't do delivery which is really annoying, so I have to go collect it'.

'Huh, that's a shame, I haven't come across such a store. It's a clothing store?'

'Yeah, it's pretty good, also cheaper- not saying I'm broke or anything'.

'Never said you were, seeing as you own this lovely house'.

He nodded with a smile, 'anyway, I must head off, have fun with your purchase'.

God he sounds like a fucking sales assistant.

Thinking about that you found that quite funny and you did your best to not laugh. The whole memory of last night was gone for a few moments.
You head into town to see the last of the decorations being put up. The festival was happening the day after tomorrow and you couldn't wait to see all of the kids... Not.

The moment you walked straight into the shop the bell went off and the young woman at the counter looked up from the computer.

'(Y/N)! Hey, what's up?'

'Hey Sarah, I'm great thanks!'

Obviously don't mention what you saw last night.

'I've got an order in today?'

'Oh right! I heard that this piece was really good, it was nice and comfy'.

She passed the clothes over to you and you unfolded them to get a better look.
You really didn't need this dress but the moment you saw it online, you wanted it.

Sarah chuckled, 'I can see it in your eyes, you don't really need this dress', you shake your head and give her a cute smile, 'nope, it's a want, just like everything else'.

'Are you going to to festival this week?'

You shrug, 'I don't know, I've got work and all-'.

Sarah pouted, 'are you serious? Can't work wait? Or can you say that you're sick or something? They won't even know that you're gone! You work at home for godsake!'

She has a point.

'Alright, I'll see if I can finish some work off and I should be good to check it out... But I don't like kids'.

'That's not even a good excuse and you know that'.

Sarah winks at you before greeting another customer.
You wave her off, 'I've gotta head off now, so I'll talk to you next time!' Sarah waves back a you, 'make sure you come to the festival! You won't regret it!'
