'Where is she?'
'Hmm?'
'Lady Jane? Where is she?'
John sits across the table. The little tea light sat between the two of you along with two bone white plates. You looked around the restaurant quickly before returning your attention to John.
'She's gone. She died seconds after she was electrocuted'.
'Jesus'.
John hummed once again before sipping his wine, 'yes, what a shame', you tried your best not to smile at his tone. He didn't miss her, not one bit... Or maybe a little. You weren't angry at him, but you could tell that it hurt him just a little. He had a history with this woman, so to see her go that way, damn, that was something you didn't want to see.
'(Y/N)?'
'Yeah?'
You lean on the table a little to show that you had his attention, 'you look lovely tonight', your face had grown hot and you look down at the little tea light, 'stop it', you mumble and John's smile faltered, 'what?'
'I mean- thank you'.
'You're always beautiful though'.
'Will you shut up?'
John smile once more, 'you know I'm not going to stop, I won't stop until the day I die', that comment really got you, 'thank you John'.
You held out your hand to him and he gently placed his large hand in yours, 'you're welcome (Y/N)'.
