You were in a deep slumber when suddenly you felt a buzz on your phone. Your eyelids were heavy as you opened your eyes and yawned, 'I'll answer it in a few minutes' you thought. However, the buzzing didn't stopped, someone must have been spamming your phone. Feeling annoyed you picked up the phone while laying on your side. Your eyes widened as you caught a glimpse of the messages. -Hu Tao 👻- Hu tao 👻- Hey why aren't you at school? Hello?! 9:30 am BITCH ITS BEEN 30 MINUTES I SWEAR IF YOUR STILL SLEEPING HEY GET YOUR ASS UP Y/N GET UP . . . . -Y/n <3 Huh Wait Omg i was sleeping im o m w! Hu Tao 👻- Yeah that's what I was telling u 30 minutes ago 💀 Alr tho see you!
"CRAP!" You whispered to yourself as you got up from your bed, ran to the bathroom and splashed your eyes to help wake yourself up. You then got dressed in a casual comfy outfit and hurried to the kitchen to make yourself some coffee. Unfortunately, the coffee would take a bit to kick in, so you were still very exhausted. Despite this, you still forced yourself to go to school. You ran out the door grabbing all of your belongings and hopped on your bike, knowing it would be dangerous to use a car due to your drowsiness.
*once you arrived at the school*
Luckily, your school was not far from your house. Hopping off your bike you hopped out your bike and sprinted to the school gate, swiping your student card verifying you are permitted to enter the school premises. Rushing into the school door you got your tardy slip and went over to your class trying to hurry your pace.
When you finally reached the classroom door, you turned the doornob and were greeted by Ms. Beidou, "Hey, why are you late?" She asked in a friendly tone.
You were very glad You had Ms. Beidou's class when you came in because Ms. Beidou was overall a really kind and laidback teacher. "I'm so sorry, I slept in not knowing the time and my alarm didn't wake me up.." you apologized.
"Don't be sorry, it happens to the best of us. Besides, you are hardly ever late, so it's not a big deal!" Ms.Beidou told you.
"Thank you Ms. Beidou!" you thanked her as you walked over to your seat sitting next to Hu Tao. She turned to you with a deadpanned expression. "What?!" You whisper-yelled to Hu Tao in a hushed voice.
"I literally sent you like 30 messages, you really need a louder alarm." She replied.
"Oh whatever, I am a deep sleeper! I can't help it." You annoyingly responded.
"Oh well, anyways, did you hear about the new student coming to our school?" Hu Tao questioned.
"Not really, this is the first I've heard of them." You answered.
"Well, he's actually me and Ganyu's cousin, he's a bit rude though and is a bit of an emo." She joked.
"Oh, that's cool!" You commented not knowing what else to say. You and Hu Tao then started talking about what you had done during the weekend until the bell rang.
You and Hu Tao had all of the same classes so you walked to your ELA class. As you walked in you were greeted by Ms. Ningaung. You both went over to your seats next to Keqing and Ganyu.
"Hey guys!" Keqing greeted.
"Greetings Hu Tao and Y/n. What have you two been up to today?" Ganyu asked.
"Well a certain someone showed up over 30 minutes late!" Hu Tao teased, pointing at you.
"I stayed up all night scrolling through social media! Eventually it became so late I was too scared to try going to sleep in fear a demon might eat my feet!!" You defended yourself when Hu Tao interrupted, cackling loudly,
"I'M SORRY, DID YOU JUST SAY EAT YOUR FEET, DOES THE MAN IN YOUR CLOSET HAVE A THING FOR TOES?!" You all just stared at Hu Tao deadpanned. "Oh cmon, you all are staring at me like I'm the elephant in the room!" She laughed. "Maybe that's because you ARE the elephant in the room!" Keqing stated acknowledging the stares in the room. Hu Tao suddenly realized how loud she had said that and sinked into her seat embarrassed by the dirty looks she was given.
Ms. Ningaung then cleared her throat and began to speak, "Before I start the lesson I would like to introduce your new classmate, or I guess I'll let him introduce himself."
The boy was very handsome, he had dark teal-ish hair and amber eyes and you couldn't help but admire his Beauty. "Hey, my name is Xiao." He said. Your eyes widened, 'THIS was Ganyu and Hu Taos cousin?! How is he so fine..', you thought as you stared at him.
He walked over the your table and sat next to Ganyu, hoping not to be disturbed by Hu Taos craziness. "Y/n, Keqing, this is Xiao, he's me and Hu Taos cousin!" She introduced him.
Keqing then said, "Oh, well hello Xiao my name is Keqing." You also introduced yourself by saying, "And I'm y/n!" He waved and replied, "Nice to meet you, I guess." Hu Tao looked at him in disbelief and said to you, "See what I mean, this guy has no manners!" He just glared at her, "Huh.." and Ningaung then began the lesson when you felt your phone buzz.
