10. Breaking News

- Y/N POV -

It's been a month since I last saw Loki and he's been invading my dreams ever since I left. I hear his smooth voice while I sleep, but in my dreams, it's all black. I'm laying on my bed with the kitten resting on my chest, his nose lightly touching my neck.

"Kitten?" I asked, he meowed softly and licked my neck.

"I miss the team," I said, bringing a hand up and petting his back. His soft black tail wagged on my chest, snuggling closer to me, his silky soft fur. Suddenly, the TV turns on and it's on the News, I get into a sitting position - a little too quickly and the kitten slides from my chest onto my lap, he meows and nudges my stomach - my eyes focused on the TV.

"Breaking News from the Grand Hall: It would seem the recent teammate of the Avengers has gone missing along with their prisoner, the God of Mischief. Last, the Avengers saw them, and I quote they were 'left in the tower with Thor who was keeping an eye on them, Loki must have used his illusions to escape the tower. He also probably took Y/n as a hostage, but we will find them' that is all the news from the Avengers, thank you, I am Melissa and you're watching 201.1 news. Thank you and see you next time," The TV turned off after that and I looked down at the kitten, glaring suspiciously at him.

Leaning down, I become eye level with the kitten, "Tell me, how do you feel about Thor?" I ask, he hisses and I smirk. "Well, Loki, I guess it's time for us to go home..." I say, the kitten snarls and shakes his head.

"What?" I ask, my brows furrowing. Loki shakes his head and transforms back into his Asgardian form, sitting on the bed with a smirk on his face, "What happened to the kitten I found?"

"You are a wonderful cuddler, dear Y/n," He says, his smooth voice like music to my ears. I back away from the bed and take some deep breaths, closing my eyes and hoping this could get better.

"They think we ran away!" I say, starting to pace in front of the bed, Loki leaned against the bed and summoned a book, his back against the headboard.

"Well, technically, you did. I just came along for the trip," He said and I looked astonished at him, he looks up and answers my unstated question, "Yes, the Loki you hugged before leaving was a clone."

"Is there a difference between illusions and clones?"

"Yes, illusions are something to trick the eye but cannot be touched, clones are illusions but can be touched meaning the Loki you hugged was a clone. Sorry, love,"

"You were the kitten...?"

He nods.

"Oh, well why did you stay in the kitten form?"

"Because I knew you'd find out sooner or later that I was the kitten and chose to take advantage of that, I used as much of my cuteness as I could before you found who I really was. I apologize for making you cuddle with a monster as myself,"

"What?"

"I also apologize for-"

"Ok, one: stop with the apologizing, I accept your apology but the more you apologize, the less I will accept them. Two: I trust you, remember when you said you didn't know about my glitching? Well, I can tell you're not lying because I found that when you're lying to someone you care about, you bring you're left hand to comb through your raven locks," I say, Loki blushes and looks away, "Besides, I think it's time we go home,"

"I guess so, it was fun while it lasted," Loki said, sighing over dramatically and I giggle at him. He offers a hand out for me to take while getting up from the bed, I gently grab it and he teleports us back to the tower.

"Y/n!" Nat and Wanda called, rushing over to me and putting their hands on me to make sure I'm ok.

"What happened?" Wanda asked, her hands on my cheeks, making me look at her.

"Yeah, did he hurt you?" Nat asks, grabbing my hand from Loki's arm, and glaring at him. I chuckle and shake my head, bringing Wanda's hand down and bringing one hand to both Wanda and Nat's outside cheeks, calming them down.

"I'm fine, no he didn't hurt me, nor did he kidnap me. If anything I kidnapped him," I tease, looking over at Loki who chuckles and nods.
