Hello!
First of all, I would like to thank everyone who gave the story a chance. It's motivating. Secondly, I am sorry. Due to an important exam, I couldn't upload the chapters.
Thank you for understanding.
With Love,
Romi
Now on with the story.......
To see what the matter was Radhika went in. It was so dark that she couldn't see properly. The bedroom light was switched on so she went there but the moment she entered she stopped dead on the spot.......
Bristi was tied to the wooden pillar of the bed with one of her legs tied to the bottom of the pillar and the other was crossed behind it. Her arms were tied up behind her and she was stabbed in several places. The gown she was wearing was completely stained in her blood.
Radhika stumbled back hitting the glass vase on the shelf. It fell making a smashing sound as it broke into pieces. Her breathing was getting slow.......
The images of her father's murder appeared in her mind. The position was different but the same strange way to keep the body.
Was the killer back?? But why? Why after so many years???
Rishav hurried into the room hearing the sound. But what he saw was nothing he ever expected, a trembling Radhika was sitting in front of the bedroom door.
He kneeled to check up on his sister but the moment his eyes fell inside the bedroom his breath hitched in his throat. He completely understood what happened to her sister, but another big question lingered in his head.
Who did that to Bristi? Why Bristi?
"H-He.... killed her. Dada the killer...." Radhika mumbled, holding the sleeve of Rishav's suit. Her voice was too low to hear.
"We will find the killer," Rishav said while caressing Radhika's head. "Now come with me." Rishav pulled her out of the room and requested the attendant to inform Vaarsh. After she went away Rishav made a call to the police department.
"Hello, this is Rishav Sengupta speaking. There had been a murder in Front Liners Resort in Salt Lake."
The moment he had ended the call, he saw Vaarsh coming toward them. "Where?" He asked. Rishav pointed at the room and Vaarsh went inside to take a look.
"Oh my God!! This is unbelievable!!!" Vaarsh said while coming outside. "She had just come to her room about half an hour earlier, someone killed her in her resort, don't you think-"
He couldn't complete when his eyes fell on Radhika standing with her back pressed to the wall. She was in a daze, nothing that Rishav was speaking was going in her head. And that's when it stroked in his mind about her father.
This is a complete disaster!!! Vaarsh thought. He wanted to say something to her but nothing came out of his mouth. There was nothing that could comfort her at such a time.
Rather there was another problem. Everyone who was in the hall room started coming there. The Ahujas ran inside the room, followed by the shrill voice of crying.
"H-How did it happen?" Ishaan asked. Vaarsh felt bad for him also. It was his birthday.
Goddd!! Will there not be a single day without a crime being caused???
He was about to say something but was interrupted by the sirens of the police cars. After a few minutes, Ansh came in with Dhruv and the other policemen.
The policemen hurried into the room and made the others in the room come out. Mrs. Ahuja was crying. Vaarsh's and Radhika's mother was comforting her. Ishaan went to Yash who had his fists clenched in anger. Mr. Ahuja was standing completely still. Keshav was standing beside Ishaan, arms crossed. He was in some kind of deep thoughts.
There was nothing Vaarsh could do to comfort so he went to Dhruv who was talking with Ansh.
"What's the case inside?" Dhruv asked seeing him.
"Bad! The body is tied up like the murder case of Mr. Vikram Sengupta." Vaarsh said. "Only the position is different."
"The murder case that happened about twelve years ago!!" Ansh gasped. "It is on the top list of the unsolved cases of the department. Can be it the same killer?"
"Can be or maybe a copycat. We need to investigate." Dhruv said taking his hands out of his pockets.
"There is another problem," Vaarsh mentioned.
"What?" Dhruv asked.
"Radhika...I mean Radhika Sengupta..." Before Vaarsh could complete Dhruv interrupted him.
"The new member who joined the team today? Ansh was speaking about her from the time I met him. He was blabbering about how beautiful she is." Dhruv said cracking a smile.
"Yeah, she is beautiful but that's not the case," Vaarsh said.
"Then what?" Dhruv asked again.
"She is the daughter of Vikram Sengupta. She is standing there, completely in shock. Rishav is there." Vaarsh said.
"WHAT????" Both Dhruv and Ansh asked.
"She is the daughter of the two great magicians!!!!" Ansh exclaimed out of shock.
"What? Rishav is Mr. Vikram Sengupta's nephew. Obviously, Radhika will be his daughter." Vaarsh said.
"This is bad. It will be hard for her." Dhruv sighed. "Let's go and inspect the scene first."
"Yeah, and I will go and check the CCTV cameras," Ansh said before walking away to the surveillance room.
"The guests.... they are all here?" Dhruv asked.
"Well half of them went away when Bristi was still there in the hall room. The remaining ones are all here. And I have informed the manager to close all the entrances so that no one can leave."
"Good. Then let's go." Dhruv said before walking into the room with Vaarsh.
