Ch.20

Riley was lying in bed. She sighed as she realised how messy everything had become. She hated how Simon wasn't talking to her since she had told about the pregnancy scare.

The door opened. Aimee walked in. She had a look of concern on her face. Riley sat up. "What's happened?"

"I got a text. From unknown. They tell me that you're having an affair with Simon Lowsley. And I want the truth from you. Are you?" Aimee asked.

Riley paled. She looked to her sister. She shook her head. "No. Why would I have an affair with my teacher. That's weird," she told her.

Aimee looked to her and nodded. She sighed. She sat on the bed. "I just had to ask. Would love to know why people are lying."

"It's because you're my sister. And a member of staff. So they think it's easy to wind you up. They all know you're protective of me," Riley said.

Aimee smiled. "That's probably it."

Riley went into school. She saw everyone looking at her. She rolled her eyes and sighed.

Dynasty walked over to her. She smiled. "You heard what people are saying? You and Lowsley have been screwing around."

Riley rolled her eyes. "That's not even true. He helped me with issues with my family. That's all. I have a boyfriend. He's in college so that's why you don't see him," she said.

Dynasty nodded. "Well I've gone mad at everyone. I think it's Rhiannon who's saying it. She jealous."

"Well she won't need to be jealous when I've finished. People will be jealous of the new face I'm about to give her," Riley said as she walked off.

She wasn't going to let Rhiannon bad mouth like she had.

Simon walked into the staffroom. Everyone looked to him. He frowned. "What's going on?" He asked.

"Have you been having an affair with my little sister?"

Simon turned to see Aimee there. He frowned. "Have I what?" He asked as he looked to her.

Aimee rolled her eyes. "Have you, or have you not been having an affair with my sister? Riley. My little sister. My sixteen year old sister," she said.

Simon shook his head and sighed. "Why would I be having an affair with your sister? A school child to be precise. Why would I do that?"

Aimee shrugged. "Well it's going all around the school. And it's had to have started from somewhere," she told him.

Simon nodded. He looked to her and sighed. "Listen. I'm not having an affair with Riley. I wouldn't risk my career. Not for anything. And especially not for an affair with a student."

"Okay."

Simon had asked Riley to meet him under the stage. He knew that they needed to talk about what was happening.

He looked up as Riley walked in. He sighed. "Who did you tell about us?" He asked.

"No one. Why?"

Simon scoffed. "Because your sister has just accused me in front of the whole staffroom of having an affair with you. It's going around the whole school."

Riley shook her head. "I haven't told anyone. I promise. I wouldn't do that. Not when I've loved what we had. I wouldn't do that."

Simon shook his head and sighed. "We can't do this. Not anymore."

Riley watched as he walked off. But had he really just ended what they had?
