Ch.1

Riley sighed to herself as she walked into school. Her mum was away for work, Riley rolled her eyes as she looked to the message off of her mum saying that she wouldn't be back until next week. Riley looked to it and rolled her eyes. She knew her mum had been away for over a week already and she was annoyed as she felt as if her mum didn't care about her at all. Riley was annoyed by it all. She walked into the school as she stood by her locker and looked as she saw Simon as he walked through the school. She looked to him and rolled her eyes "Riley, I think we need to talk" he said as she looked to him and frowned "why" she said "because your in isolation this weeks for fighting and we can't get in touch with your mother, follow me" Simon said as he walked to the pastoral care room

Riley walked into the room and sighed as she walked in and sat down. She looked as Simon tried to call her mum as Riley looked to him and rolled her eyes "that's no point sir, she won't answer to me never mind to you" Riley said as Simon looked to her and frowned "meaning?" He asked as Riley looked to him and rolled her eyes "meaning my mum works away a lot and that she is away" she said "so no one is looking after you" "I look after myself sir, I have done it for long enough" Riley said as Simon looked to her and sighed. He knew that her mum worked away but he had no idea that she was left alone and he knew that he should be reporting it to social services "go to class and try and keep out of trouble for one day" Simon said as she nodded.

Riley sat in the cooler and sighed as Simon walked in "you can't do it for once day can you, stay out of trouble?" He asked as she looked to him and sighed "why do you care sir, no one else does. My older sister went away and my mum would rather either work away or be with her newest fancy bit, don't you get it yet sir, no one wants to be around me and it's as simple as that. You should do yourself a favour and go too. I'm no good to be around" Riley did as Simon looked to her and smiled "no, I'm not going anywhere and the last thing i am going to do is give up onto you, when you deserve better. I don't give up on anyone" he said as she looked to him and smiled

Riley walked into simons office later that day and smiled as she saw him "you wanted to see me" "I wanted to see if your okay and I, calling your mum if she isn't back by tomorrow I'll have to call social services" he said as she nodded.
