3rd Person's POV

"Eddie.." Valerie whispered, tugging on his sleeve.

Eddie, who felt himself froze up until that moment, took one look at Valerie and was immediately at Max's side, crouching down.

"She's in a trance, just like Chrissy." Eddie whispered to himself before grabbing Max's shoulders, "Max if you pull a Chrissy on me right now I swear to god-"

Max woke up with a gasp, startled. Frantically looking at everyone in the room.

Eddie closed his eyes and let out a sigh of relief, backing away from Max.

Max got up and ran.

"Max?" Valerie shouted, following after her to find her out in the hallway staring at an empty wall.

Tires screeching could be heard outside Hawkins High, Nancy and Robin came running in.

Everyone was standing behind Max.

"It was here. Right here. I saw this clock- a grandfather clock."

"A clock?" Nancy asked.

Max nodded, "It had this heavy ticking sound. It was so real, it felt so real. When I tried to get closer to it... I woke up." Max turned to look at them, "But that isn't the bad part."

Max walked back to Ms.Kelley's office, everyone following after her.

She picked up the files again, "Fred and Chrissy, they both came to Miss Kelley for help. They both were having headaches, bad headaches, that wouldn't go away. Then the nightmares, trouble sleeping, they'd wake up in a cold sweat and then they started seeing things."

Max shook her head, "Bad things, from their past. And these visions, they kept on getting worse and worse, until eventually... everything ended."

"When did the symptoms start?" Valerie asked.

"Chrissy's headache started a week ago. Fred's, six days ago. I've been having them for five days."

"So it takes six days to..." Eddie trailed off.

"Yeah. They both died a day after they saw their first vision. And I just saw that goddamn clock, so... looks like I'm gonna die tomorrow."

Max could hide it well, but Valerie could feel she was on the verge of tears. She was just about to go and give her a hug when there was a sharp clang in the distance.

Everybody flinched to look at it.

"Stay here." Steve grabs a lamp and walks out.

But when has anyone ever listened to Steve Harrington?

Everyone trails after him quietly. They could hear footsteps, someone was running towards them.

Steve got into position, lamp in hand.

Suddenly Lucas came running from the left, making everyone let out a scream.

"It's me!"

"Jesus, what's wrong with you Sinclair?" Valerie marched over to him.

"I'm sorry." He was panting, putting his hands on his knees, "Sorry guys... I was- I was biking for eight miles. Shit. We've got a code red."

"What?" Steve asked.

"Dustin." Lucas walked over to him, "I've been with Jason, Patrick and Andy. They've gone totally off the rails. They're trying to capture him-" He stopped to point at Eddie, "- and they think you know where he is. You're in terrible danger."

"All right, yeah that definitely sucks." Dustin nodded, "but we've got bigger problems than Jason now."

It took half an hour for them to catch Lucas up to speed. Nancy and Robin also had news to share.

"Remember how I told you Vecna's first victim dates back to 1959?"

Dustin nods at Robin.

"Viktor Creel claimed his family was killed by an ancient demon. Now, the police didn't believe him of course. He was declared legally insane by the court."

"But we do, we think he's telling the truth." Nancy continued, "If our guess is right and it is Vecna, we'll have another witness besides Eddie."

"Why would Vecna kill the whole family but him?" Eddie asked.

"Good question, we'll make sure to ask him when we see him tomorrow."

"Whoa, Nance, see him?" Steve frowned.

"Yeah, luckily for us he's at the Pennhurst Asylum."

"Well I obviously have to meet this guy."

"Absolutely not are you insane? We can't have you out in public." Dustin threw his arms up in the air, "Besides, with Jason and the others hunting you down you can't go roaming around, it's not safe. You have to go back to Rick's house. You too, Val."

"And what about you Dustin? They think you'll lead them to Eddie, they're after you too. You're the one who should be hiding." Valerie put her hand over her hips.

"No way am I gonna leave Max's side."

Valerie's face softened, "Fair enough, just be safe okay?" She turned to Steve, "You better keep him in one shape Harrington."

"You know I will." Steve scoffed, seemingly offended.

Valerie broke into a small smile and turned to look at her old friend.

"You know Nance, if you're going to an asylum you really should take Munson. He certainly looks the part." Valerie cocked her head, giving him a toothy grin.

Eddie didn't mind as long as she smiled at him, sarcastic or otherwise, "I think I'd much rather spend the night with you."

"Ugh." She groans, before walking away.

She could see a couple amused faces among her friends, she did not want to see them anymore.

Robin jogged up to her, "He so likes you."

"He doesn't like me, he's just like that."

"He's not like that with me."

"You're gay Robin."

"He doesn't know that."

"You don't know that he doesn't."

"Wait I'll prove it to you." Before Valerie could stop her Robin turns around to look at Eddie, "Hey, Eddie!"

Eddie who had been talking to Dustin, now walked over to stand on the other side of Valerie, "Yes?"

"Did you know I was into girls?" Robins grins, leaning forward so she could look past Valerie and at him.

"Uh no, should I have?" He scrunched his eyebrows but was smiling regardless.

"No, it's just, I like this girl. And I don't know how or what to say to her you know? It's like everytime I'm around her I can't function properly-"

"I know exactly what you mean. I think I can help you." Eddie stopped in his tracks to put an arm on Robin's shoulder.

"Great, because I'm gonna need all the help I can get." Robin nodded excitedly before the pair walked away, making strategies on how to talk to Vickie, leaving Valerie behind.

Valerie scoffed to herself, "What..."

Steve comes up from behind her and ruffles her hair. She shoves his hand away.

"Okay, somebody's grumpy." Steve mutters, "If it makes you feel better, I'll have to drop you and Eddie off, then take the rest to the Wheeler house and babysit all four of my children."

"Four?"

"Robin included."

"Right. Of Course. Atleast you get to do it with the mother of your children."

"I do not have feelings for Nancy!"
