"Wow!" Dale cried, as he entered the room at the bottom of the stairs. "This is very cool!"

Even Chip had to agree with him. The room they walked in looked very cool. It was a very large room and it had metal walls with spanners, hammers, chisels, saws, ratchets among the many other tools hanging on them.

"This looks like a garage to me," Chip said. "Are you some sort of mechanic here, Cy-Had?

"You could say that, Chip," Cy-Hand said, as she entered the room. "And this is not just a garage, but a showroom."

"A showroom for what?" Dale asked.

Cy-Had took the chipmunks to the middle of the room where there was nothing but darkness and emptiness. She got out a remote and pressed the red button on it.

The chipmunks saw the lights lit up on the walls around them and then they were confused at what they saw. They could see three objects on the floor. Three tiny objects.

"Are those toys?" Chip asked.

"If they are, can I play with them?" Dale ran to them, but Cy-Had got in his way and stopped him.

"They are not toys, guys," she explained, "and they are not for playing, except me. I made them so I can get to play with them."

"And how do you play with them?" Chip asked.

Cy-Had got out a different remote with more buttons. "Now, gather around this object and watch."

The chipmucks looked around the first object which looked like a plane. Then Cy-Had pressed one of the buttons on her remote. Then the first object grew larger and larger until it was the size of a proper plane.

"I can make it even bigger," Cy-Had said.

"So, you made a plane that can grow or shrink?" Chip asked.

"I've never seen a plane like that before," Dale said. "You're a real genius, Cy-Had."

"Thanks, Dale," Cy-Had said. "But that's not all it does." She pressed another button.

The chipmunks couldn't believe what they saw next. The big plane turned into a helicopter, a drone and even a spacecraft.

"Cool!" the chipmunks cried together.

Then the spacecraft shrank back down to the small size of the plane was.

"Well, that's the flying machines taken care off," Cy-Had said. "Now, to the other two."

Then she took them to a very small rowboat. First, it grew and then it changed into a speedboat, a yacht, a military frigate and finally a submarine before it shrank back down to the size of the rowboat. Then she took them to the last one which a small car. First, it grew and then it changed into a sports car, a limousine, a van and a truck before it shrank back down to the size of small car.

"Cool!" the chipmunks cried.

"And I thought this whole room was some sort of kitchen and you were some sort of chef," Dale said.

"What do you mean, Dale?" Cy-Had saw where Dale was pointing to a near dark corner and laughed. "You mean in that corner over there? You're right, Dale. It is a kitchen."

The thing in the corner was a kitchen and it had a fridge, a cooker, cupboards and a table with three chairs.

"So, you guys are both right about me. You're right about me I'm the chief mechanic here, Chip, and you're right about me being the chef here, Dale."

"Are you also in charge of those laptops over there?" Chip asked, pointing to another dark corner of the room.

"Oh, yeah," Cy-Had said. "I'm head of computing here as well."

"What are those glasses doing over?" Dale asked, pointing to another corner which had a table full of glasses of all types on it.

"Those are my chemistry test tubes," Cy-Had said.

"You're a scientist as well?" Chip asked.

"Yeah."

"So, you're a mechanic, a scientist, a computer expert and a chef?" Chip asked. "Is there anything else you are?"

"What about that dark corner over there?" Dale asked. "Are you in charge of the stuff over there?"

Cy-Had looked ahead and saw where Dale was pointing. "Yes, that's my fifth job. Being charge of the dark corner with nothing in it."
"Oh, well, that's okay," Dale said. Then he realized what he said. "What? I don't understand."

"Sorry, guys," Cy-Had said. "I don't really have much a sense of humor."

"Who pays for all of this?" Chip asked. "The government? The FBI? The police?"

"A mob boss?" Dale asked.

"Neither of those," Cy-Had replied. "My boss and I built of this secret hideout from scratch for us and more of our work associates. It's been helpful for our jobs."

"Who is your boss?" Chip asked.

"And where are the rest of your friends?" Dale asked.

"The boss wishes to remain anonymous," Cy-Had said.

"Eh?" Dale asked.

"She doesn't want anyone to know anything about her, not even her name," Cy-Had said.

"Can you even tell us if she gave you those metal parts on your body and helped you fly and breathe out of water like you're doing right now?" Dale asked.

"Yes, she did. And I will always be grateful to her for that. As for my work associates – not friends, work associates – they're busy with their other missions."

"Can you tell us more about your mission?" Chip asked.

"Yeah," Dale said. "And how we can help you?"

"Yeah. Especially since you won't let us go," Chip added. "And since you brought us here to your secret hideout and explained and showed us everything you do."

Then everyone heard a ding.

"What was that?" Chip demanded.

"That was the lunch bell, meaning that lunch is ready now," Cy-Had replied.

With all the adventures he and Chip had had with Annie and her flying monsters and being rescued by their new friend Cy-Had, Dale had forgotten he was still hungry and his tummy was still rumbling. "What are we having?"

"Give me a second to sort all this out and I will explain everything."

"Time's up," Dale said.

"What do you mean?"

"You said you needed a second and a second's already passed," Dale explained.

Cy-Had sighed. "All right, then. Give me a minute and we're starting the minute from scratch."

During the minute, the flying metal fish pressed a button and the table was set and the dinner was set. There were two chestnut pizzas and a plate full of seaweed.

"A seaweed salad," Cy-Had explained, as she and the chipmunks took their seats. "So how are your chestnut pizzas?"

Chip smiled. "It's very delicious."

Dale had finished his pizza already. He let out a large burp. "My compliments to your excellent cooking."

"Uh, thanks, Dale," Cy-Had said nervously. "Now, that we're all enjoying our lunch, I'll explain what this is all about and how you guys are safe with me and how you can even help me do so."

Both chipmunks leaned in very closely to her and started to pay very close attention to her.
