After spring break was over, I didn't see Lila at school. Before second period started, I saw her but she had a cast on her leg. I rushed over to her. She seemed okay, but she looked shaken up. I asked her what happened. She replied with, "I was walking down some stairs, tripped, and hit my leg on a sharp edge. I felt her pain because I twisted my ankle a couple of years back. I had to help her carry her things, but she needed all the help that she could get for the next couple of weeks.
During lunch we decided to read. I brought the book that I have been wanting forever that I finally got. Yes! It was nice out so we went outside to read. We read for five minutes until Grace came over to us. She looked like she had been crying. She asked me if I would forgive her. Before I could answer I saw her sparkly clothing and auburn hair glint in the sunlight as she ran off. I told Lila that I was sorry before I ran off to follow Grace.
I finally saw her in the bathroom beginning to cry. I walked over to comfort her. She explained to me what really had happened. She told me that the popular girls would accept her if she left me. I felt so mad with myself for acting that way towards her. I told that I was sorry and that we could be friends again. She said okay and she walked out with me back towards Lila.
Lila and the rest of our group immediately liked Grace. The Popular Girls saw Grace sitting with us and they all stormed off. Grace seemed way happier with all her new friends. I was still kind of confused about why the Popular girls made Grace do what she did. I guess that I would never know.
