Grace and I began to write after a week of brainstorming and outlining. We finally settled on two girls who got to create their own universe. They had it that each chapter was their character's point of view. I wrote the first chapter and will wait till tomorrow to edit it.
Grace thought that my chapter was pretty good and she couldn't wait till we started the dialogue. I was pretty impressed with it too. I couldn't wait to read her chapter. We took a break and got some ice cream. We looked at some books for ideas. We kept writing until our hands were red and hurt.
Grace went home but told me that she would be back on Friday. I began to read a book for more inspiration and creativity. When my sister came home from cheerleading she asked why was I so happy. I told her why and she just walked away. She has never been to interested in writing books. She never has the time too because she has homework, cheer, and soccer. I would be really stressed with that schedule.
Grace can back on Friday, like she said she would. She had her chapter so I began to read and edit her work. Saying that it was good was an understatement. It was well written, not much editing was needed, and she had the perfect dialogue. I was speachless. I really had to step up my game. I wrote my chapter like Grace's but it was not as good. I went on my laptop to look at writing ideas. I needed the help.
Grace and I managed to write five chapters each by the end of the month. If we kept up the pace and continue to finish homework during class, we would have a book in two months or less. It was all I did after school. I didn't know where I was when I woke up but soon figured out that I was in the living room. I fell asleep on my paper and it was somewhat stuck on my face. I pulled it off and looked at what I had written previously. It had improved since Grace's chapter.
