At school, my group and I were walking to lunch. Everyone was looking at us in awe. It was making me feel nervous. We walked in and people were whispering when ever we got close. Grace found out that everyone was looking at us because we stood up for ourselves against the popular girls. Everyone frowned whenever they got to close. I can't believe that others are following our footsteps.
After school, I went to my room to finish a book that I was loving. I checked my phone and I was apart of a group chat. It went like this.
Me: Hi eveyone!
Grace: Hello.
Lila: Okay everyone, you remember what I told you right?
I was thinking, oh no! What has she told everyone?
Everyone: Happy Birthday Gwen!
I had totally forgot that today was my birthday! How can I be so stupid! Everyone was being secretive when they were talking about me. No wonder. I said thank you and they just seemed to be oozing with happiness for some weird reason. I had some weird friends.
On Friday, everyone was asking me if I was having a big party at my house. I said no. I was only inviting my friends. All these people thought they were my best friend, even some of the popular kids. It was kind of weird having this much attention on me because of a birthday. I was going to have a long day.
