it had been more than a month since chris officially asked you out.

life was honestly kinda great.

your grades were better than ever, school was okay, and the best of all:

everyone approved of you and chris.

"y/n! partners?" matt came over to you.

"yeah!"

your class had been advised to choose a partner for an assignment, which was obviously gonna be matt.

"we should plan the whole thing out at mine later." matt tells you.

"oh! okay! i was gonna come over anyway."

"of course you were." matt grins.

"class dismissed!"

the bell rings, so you and matt walk over to the cafeteria.

"so, what are you doing for your birthday next week?" he asks you.

"i'm not sure." you shrug. "nothing i guess? maybe just a small dinner with my family."

"there no way you're doing that." matt laughs.

"yes way! i don't like my birthday."

"but you're turning 18!"

the both of you stand in line, talking about stuff you should actually do for your birthday. you appreciated matt trying to make your 18th birthday exciting, but you thought it wasn't really necessary.

"the beach?" matt suggests.

"ehh.."

"y/nnnn." chris groans.

you look behind you, and see chris and nick approaching you and matt.

"huh?"

he puts his arm around your neck, and sighs.

"math was so boring today."

"you say that everyday." you chuckle.

"today was extra boring." nick says.

"yeah? how come?" you ask.

"because the sub was some old lady! she couldn't figure out how to work the projector at all—"

"—and she would threaten to send us to the principal if we talked." chris rolls his eyes.

"bitch." nick says viciously.

you and matt laugh, and walk into the cafeteria.

"hey, want a cookie or something?" chris asks you.

"oooh.. sure."

"better than whatever this is." chris points to a stale cinnamon bun.

he buys two cookies, and grabs an extra arizona since he knew you liked them.

"thank youuu." you smile.

"i couldn't let you eat that." he points to the cafeteria food.

"but nick and matt can?"

"they deserve it." he laughs.

"you're so mean!"

"yeah right." he says, opening your can of tea.

[back at the triplets house]

"honestly, i don't even know what else to suggest." you tell matt, throwing another piece of crumbled paper into the trash.

"we need to think outside the box. none of these ideas are good because they're too.. basic." matt sighs.

"they might be basic, but they're easy! i'm not going above and beyond for some stupid project."

"obviously. the project needs to be unique, but it'll still be easy."

you twist your mouth to the side, thinking of ideas.

"you guys haven't started yet?!" nick says.

nick grabs a seat next to you, skimming through all the notes you and matt created.

"nope." you tell him.

"we're getting somewhere though." matt says.

"that's good. also.. chris told me to tell you to meet him in the kitchen." nick tells you.

"again?"

"yes again! go to the kitchen y/n."

you get up from the couch, and walk over the to kitchen.

"what chris—"

you see a plate right next to him, with a fork and napkin to the side.

"sit." he tells you.

confused as ever, you sit down.

"pasta or steak?" he grins.

"both..?"

he grabs the plate next to you, and puts pasta on one side, and steak on the other.

"tea or water—"

"wait." you stop him. "whats going on."

"i made dinner! you looked stressed out."

you examined chris carefully.

he wore a backwards baseball cap to hold his hair back from his face, some oven mitts to hold the hot pot, and his mom's cooking apron.

"you're.. insane."

"i did it for you!"

pov chris makes u Pasta 🍝😍🤞😉
