On the next day, Maryam arrives at a mall; After she gets all the wedding gifts for Inaaya. She walks inside the chocolate store of the shopping mall. After exploring all the chocolate stores in the city, she decides that this is the best chocolate store that satisfies her taste for chocolates.
Maryam is a chocoholic - she's always happy to pay the price of a good chocolate and carries no regrets.
Walking around the store - taking her favourite chocolates. She sees a girl with a fair complexion; the girl has her hair tight in a ponytail - her eyes brim with tears, holding a chocolate bar.
She takes her eyes off the girl and keeps dropping her favourite chocolates into the shopping basket.
Maryam glances at the girl and notices tears on her cheeks. She walks to her, and bows to the girl's height. "Hello, why are you crying?".
The girl raises her head; her eyes fill with tears, searching Maryam's face and didn't see any leer in her expression. "I'm looking for my brother,".
"Who's your brother? Where's your brother?" Maryam wipes the girl's tears that are flowing down her pink cheeks with her handkerchief that she takes out from her bag.
"He's my brother... I don't know why I should tell you. I won't,"
The girl's innocence spread a smile across Maryam's face. "We'll look for him together...,".
"Haifa...,"
A boy walks to them and hugs the little girl - Haifa. He's a little taller than his sister. "Where have you been? We've been looking for you," the boy expresses his concern to the girl.
"You two left me alone,".
The boy wipes Haifa's tears with his right hand. "We told you not to leave your place,".
"Adil... Haifa...,"
Maryam lifts her head; standing is the man she bumped into in front of the bank yesterday.
He stares at her. "I think I've seen you somewhere?".
"We bumped into each other yesterday in front of the bank," Maryam replies with a smile.
He replies, "yeah - that's right," the simple words send shivers over her skin.
He shifts his eyes from her and focuses on the children. "Let's get some Ice-cream,". He says, his eyes expressing delight.
"Yes, Ice cream!!" Adil and Haifa shout with joy.
Haifa shows him the chocolate that she has been holding. "I want this chocolate, Abaan,".
The man says with a smile, "I'll buy you anything you want." He carries Haifa up and holds Adil's hand.
He smiles at Maryam. "Bye,".
With a smile on her face, Maryam replies "Bye,".
She watches them walk away. "What a perfect family, What's his name and are their his children?".
"Assalamu Alaikum?" Maryam says, walking inside the house with a shopping bag. "Ladi... Ladidi,".
A lady in her late twenties walks into the living room. "Dan taimaka min - ki dauko min kaya a mota, (I need help with things in the car,)".
"Tohm (Okay,)" replies Ladidi with a smile.
She exhales a sigh of relief as she sits on the sofa. Hajiya Binta enters the living room and sits beside her. "Sannu da dawo wa, (welcome back)".
"Thank you, Mummy, sannu da gida,".
Ladi enters the living room and keeps a shopping leather near Maryam, and walks out of the house to pick up the remaining shopping bags.
"Uwata yar mummy... let me look at them," says Hajiya Binta, dragging the shopping leather.
