Two and a half years down the line.

Time always seems to be flying by, with no possibility of slowing down. It's difficult to shake the feeling that time is fleeting. It seems that there is either not enough time, or too much time wasted, but never is it just the right amount. No matter how hard we try, time goes on.

But time take from us: It's time to toss that mindset out the door and begin to live in the moment. Take advantage of time and own it. Time is free, but it's priceless. You can't own it, but you can use it. You can't keep it, but you can spend it. Once you've lost it you can never get it back. Although we try to control it in a million different ways, the only things you can ever really do to time are enjoy it, or waste it. That's it

No matter how much time passes, no matter what takes place in the interim, there are some things we can never assign to oblivion, memories we can never rub away

It's never nice to lose someone close to you; unfortunately, life goes on, and we have to make peace with it and move on
Life goes on.... Accidents happen. Our bones shatter, our skin splits, our hearts break. We burn, we drown, we stay alive.

Anxiously waiting for her daughter's return, Hajiya Binta sat on the sofa in the living room snapping her fingers.

The image of Maryam leaving the house to pursue her education inspiration came back to her mind.

The man who took her to the airport is bringing her daughter back. Maryam and Yazid getting married is something she hopes for and she wishes Maryam will give him a chance.

Yazid's ways of showing love, support, and care for Maryam never fail to amaze her.

She was approached by Ladidi. “Mummy, karki damu yanzu zata dawo (Mummy, don’t worry, she’ll come back soon),”.

Ladidi's words were lost on Hajiya Binta as she was preoccupied with thoughts of her daughter and kept staring at the door.

The door was unlocked and opened. Maryam greeted with "Assalamu Alaikum" as she entered the house.

Hajiya Binta was filled with joy upon seeing her daughter after such a long time that a bright smile spread across her face and her eyes lit up.

Maryam walked up to her and embraced her tightly, expressing how much she had missed her, Hajiya Binta embraced her with the same amount of love.

"Mom, it's hard to imagine how much I miss seeing you now." Even after breaking the hug, Maryam held onto her beautiful mother and stared at her.

"My darling, I miss you," Hajiya Binta said, noticing Yazid standing behind Maryam, she said to him "Your act of bringing her back was very kind. Thank you,”
