Steve wakes up early around 4 am with a pain in his neck. He realizes he fell asleep on the couch sitting upright and laying against something. What am I leaning-, he slowly looks up, seeing Eddie fast asleep. Eddie's hair is everywhere and his mouth is slightly open.

What. Do. I. Do. Steve is freaking out, scared to move and wake the other.

Not that he really wants to move anyway. He looks cute like this and can't annoy me at all, Steve tries to rationalize staying put.

He looks at Eddie a little longer before suddenly developing the urge to wrap his arm around his waist. Steve needs to test whether or not he's actually into Eddie somehow, so he slowly snakes his arm around the boy, moving his head some to lay on his chest to get more comfortable.

Steve feels Eddie moves his arm slightly behind and around his waist and he lets out a quiet gasp. "Eddie?" Steve whispers, his heart in his throat. "Go back to sleep, Harrington," Eddie replies back, keeping his eyes closed.

"I'm sorry I fell asleep on you. Do you want me to move?"

Eddie's hand tightens around his waist, "Just... stay." Steve can hear his heartbeat quicken with his answer. "O-Okay."

Around 10 am, Eddie is the first to wake up. The two boys are still in the same position they went back to sleep in earlier that morning. Holy shit, that actually happened. Eddie cannot believe Steve made a move. Well, sort of. He was just sleepy. There's no way he knew what he was doing. Still, the other boy looks so peaceful cuddling up with him.

"Hey Steve," Eddie whispers, "I don't know why I've been cursed with this, but I think I like you. You, Steve 'The Hair' Harrington, and 'The Freak'. Like, seriously?" He lowly giggles to himself, knowing Steve can't hear what he's saying. A part of him wishes he could though, wanting the pain of the secret and rejection to end sooner.

Steve begins to shuffle some and slowly opens his eyes, "Did you say something?"

Eddie ignores his question, "Good more, princess."

"I told you to stop calling me that," he gives a stern look and suddenly realizes he's cuddling up into Eddie's side. "Uhm, I'm sorry, man." Steve sits up awkwardly with a blush plastered across his cheeks. The other chuckles, "It's alright. I didn't know Steve Harrington was such an active cuddler. That's some good intel right there."

Steve's blush deepens, "You better keep that to yourself, Munson."

"Oh, I wouldn't dare share that with anyone else. The honor is mine, princess," Eddie teases, a smirk set on his lips.

Steve tries to control the malfunction occurring in his head from those words, "Your act is getting a little old."

"I think you enjoy it, Harrington."

"You can only hope," Steve throws back and Eddie gasps. "Wow. You are such a sass king."

"Yeah, okay. You are way more dramatic than me. I mean, if you're anything like Mike playing that D&D shit, you take the cake."

"WOAH. The words D&D and shit do not correspond together. You've wounded me," Eddie fake cries out and puts his hand over his heart, collapsing on the couch.

"How do you not see my point," Steve says through his laugh.

"I'm glad my death is funny to you, Harrington," he says, still laying on the couch.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Let me get into character," Steve pauses, preparing himself for his best performance. He leans over and grabs Eddie's shoulders, starting to shake him slightly, "Eddie? Eddie! I didn't mean to! Eddieeeeeeeee." The other fails to hold back a laugh, "Not gonna lie, that was pretty good."
