Robin hops up on the counter, sitting in front of Steve in an empty Family Video, "Okay. Spill it. You stayed over at Eddie's dude. What's going on?"
"Steve occupies himself with some of the movies left on the counter to put away. "I thought you wanted us to get to know each other better."
"I do, but I didn't think it would affect our work schedule with the sleepovers you've been having," Steve rolls his eyes at her.
"Okay, do you want to know what happened or keep complaining about being late to a job you don't even care about, Robs," he says, trying to shift the topic and soften her anger.
Robin stays silent for a second before she speaks, "I want to know what happened! Forget being late."
"That's what I thought," Steve smiles and Robin starts kicking her legs in excitement, "Well, for starters I think I'm definitely bisexual so congrats to you for being the first person I've come up too... and thank you for your advice." He smiles sheepishly and Robin hops off the table to give him a comforting hug, "Of course, Steve. I can answer all your gay questions... unless they're about men." They both laugh, "Thanks, Robbie."
"Okay, not to ruin this tender moment but I really want to know everything that happened."
"So, after we talked in the car, it was about seven and Eddie calls me. He asked me to come over to hang out, and I'm telling you, Robin, he was relentless, so I went over. We didn't know what to do so I casually asked him to show me how to play something on his guitar. He obviously didn't want me touching his 'pride and joy', but he has an extra guitar that he let me practice on. I tried figuring out the notes and I was struggling so he kind of got behind me and put his arms around me and his hands over mine to shadow me and-," Robin makes a soft squealing noise, interrupting Steve.
"Sorry, sorry. I'll calm down. Keep going."
"Anyways, I learned a little bit of the song but my fingers started to hurt and Eddie made fun of me for it. I shoved him playfully, he shoved me back. One thing led to another and he was on top of me-."
"Steve! Did you guys-."
He ignores her, "He was on top of me and we stared at each other, then he got off of me, apologizing for 'taking stuff too far'. I explained to him that everything was okay and then we decided to watch 'The Poltergeist' to ignore that awkward moment."
"You got scared, didn't you? God, you are a walking romance movie," Robin mocks Steve's jumpy nature with scary movies.
He rolls his eyes again, "Yes, I did. I grabbed his arm and quickly let go, apologizing for that. Then I think I fell asleep during the end of the movie." Steve pauses, thinking about what happened this morning. A blush creeps on his face. "There's something else," Robin observes, sitting back up on the counter.
"Well, this morning I woke up still on the couch, but I was cuddled into Eddie's chest. I had my arm around his waist and so did he and I almost freaked out until he called me 'princess' again. I told him not to call me that again and I called him overdramatic, which led to him faking his death and collapsing on the couch. I decided to play along and he basically said that I have a pretty face and that I'm a 'heartthrob of Hawkins'," the blush deepens on Steve's face as he continues to explain.
"He got that right," Robin mumbles, giggling.
"Then he said that he didn't compare and I called him an 'edgy heartthrob" which I know is so dumb and I shouldn't have put it that way, but I think he got my point? Being Eddie, he made fun of my flirting, I took huge offense to that, and he told me to flirt with him to prove it. I said a stupid pick-up line because I thought we were messing around," Steve takes a deep breath to calm his embarrassment, "I asked him to show me how he flirted. He put his hand on my leg and smirked at me and said we could 'have fun'."
