Eddie's POV
As we approached Skull Rock, Chrissy was now on my back because she was "feeling tired" so I let her hop up and take a ride. No one comes over here anymore so Chris and I were totally alone except for the wildlife around here. I set her down on a nearby rock to pull something out of the bag I had packed. "Wow," She said looking around in awe, admiring the trees and scenery. "Babe!" I said earning her to turn around. "Smile for the camera," I said holding up her pink Polaroid 600. She smiled the cutest smile showing off her beautiful teeth. She looked like a child at that moment
I handed Chrissy her camera back and she took a bunch of pictures of everything she saw that she thought was either cool or pretty. She was having so much fun as we walked to lovers lake as well. She took pictures of birds, trees, lizards, plants, and butterflies on our walk together. She especially took loads of pictures of us, cute ones and goofy ones too. "Thank you for bringing this for me!" She said taking a picture of yet another tree. "Awe man... I ran out of film," She said looking at her camera with a sad face. I smiled at her pulling a pack out of my pocket, "Don't worry, I came prepared," She got excited when presented with the extra film she snatched it and put it in the camera. "I love you so much!" She gave me the biggest hug and held me tight. "I love you too rockstar,"
After a long walk threw the woods, we finally made it to Lovers Lake. There were some ducks swimming around the lake and Chrissy shrieked trying to get one to come to her. "Baby! I want a duck!" she shouted pointing at them. I smiled and pulled out a bag of duck food Dustin gave me for when we go to the duck pond at the park; he enjoys feeding ducks. "Here beautiful," I said grabbing a handful and handing her the bag. I tossed the hand full in the lake and so did Chrissy trying to get a duck to come to her. Once one got close enough, Chrissy snapped a picture sadly scarring it away. "Man, at least I got a good picture... I think" she said putting the picture in her pocket to develop.
As Chris continued to play with the ducks, I set up a little picnic spot for us to eat some lunch. While she was getting ready, I packed two turkey sandwiches with pepper jack cheese and pickles, some almonds, chips, apples, and two cokes to drink. "Baby, come eat please," I said and she turned around and smiled, "A picnic!? How cute!" She said taking a seat, "I never took you as a softy," She took a bite of the sandwich and looked up at me. "I'm not, I just know a thing or two on what girls like," I said watching her eat.
I was happy she was actually eating today; I made sure to pack healthy things for her to eat so she doesn't feel so guilty for eating today. I started eating as well, taking a bite of my sandwich and opening Chrissy's drink for her. She sat silently watching the ducks and eating her food with a smile on her face the whole time. "What do you wanna do after?" I asked her trying to break the silence. "Dunno," she said shrugging her shoulders and continuing to watch the ducks. "What do you say to getting a tattoo?" I asked immediately sparking her attention, "A tattoo?" her eyes widened as she chewed her almonds. "I mean yeah, you are 18 so why not?" I said and Chrissy started finishing off her almonds and apples so we can get going as soon as possible.
After we finished eating she quickly jumped up and waited eagerly for me to pack everything up. I looked over seeing her jumping up and down smiling at me. I chuckled a bit walking over to her and grabbing her hand. "Alright rockstar, chill," I smiled and she calmed down a bit as we walked further and further into the woods. "We should be to my van in no time," I said as we passed Skull Rock, heading towards the way we came from. "I know the exact tattoo I want! Mother is going to be so mad!" She said trying to pull me ahead
We took a little rest, about 20 minutes away from the car so Chris could drink some water and so I could rest my feet. "I can I know said tattoo you want?" I asked and she shook her head. "It's a surprise!" She smiled taking one more drink before standing back up. "You'll love it though!" She smiled grabbing my hand. "What tattoo are you trying to get?" she asked looking up at me as we walked. "Guess that's going to be a secret too," I smiled giving her a kiss. "Fine," She rolled her eyes smiling.
At my van, Chrissy happily jumped in and buckled up bouncing around in her seat. "I can't wait to piss her off," She said as I started the van and headed to my favorite tattoo parlor, the place where I get all my tattoos at. My uncle knows a guy there that does the best tattoos in my opinion. Chrissy was jamming out to my Back in Black AC/DC CD I had in my van. She looked so cute bobbing her head to the music with the windows rolled down, hair a mess because she put it down before we got in the van.
By the third or fourth song, we had made it to the shop; Chrissy quickly unbuckled and hopped out of the van before I could even turn off the car. She eagerly waited at the door for me as I closed my door and locked it. I smiled at her as I opened the door for her, she walked in and waved at one of the artists. "Hello, how can I help you?" He asked and I smiled walking to the counter. "I have an appointment with Matt for a tattoo and this one wants a tattoo as well," I smiled and Chrissy smiled too nodding. "Alright, what's the last name for the appointment?" "Munson," I answered and he looked at his list for my name. "Ah yes Eddie, I think I remember you from before," I said putting his clipboard down. "And you young lady, just have to show me ID and we can get you checked in for a walk-in," The man said and Chrissy pulled out her wallet from my pocket and took out her ID handing it to him.
"Awesome! Is this your first tattoo?" He asked and she nodded slowly. "That's fine, Matt is great with first-timers, he can take you after he takes him," He said pointing to me and handing Chris back her ID. "Ok, thank you!" She smiled following me to take a seat. She took a deep breath and leaned back in her chair. "Scared rockstar?" I asked and she nodded. "A little, but I'll be ok as long as you're with me," She smiled looking at me. "Good, I'll hold your hand the whole time," I said putting my hand on her thigh.
"Hey, Eddie! I'm ready to take you!" Matt smiled giving me a hug. He's a really good family friend of mine. "You can come too if you'd like, I got snacks while you wait," Matt told Chrissy and she happily followed us to the back. I took a seat in his chair and whispered to him what I wanted; my guitar on my left forearm with the day Chrissy and I got together. Even if things don't work out with Chrissy and me, that day was still very important to me; it was the day I became a town hero thanks to Hopper and I couldn't have done it without my guitar.
After my tattoo was finished, Matt wrapped it up and went through the procedure of how to care for it. I thanked him and sat where Chris was sitting and I hid my tat from her so she can see it when I see hers. "Ready?" Matt asked as she took a seat; she nodded and told him what she wanted as well. I held her hand the whole time he did the tattooing. Her tattoo took about as long as mine did and it was in the same spot as my bats.
Once he finished he wrapped it up, told her how to clean it, gave her some tips and tricks, then I paid for both of our tattoos with my "Drug money" as Chrissy calls it. In the van, we revealed to each other our tattoos. Chrissy got seven little butterflies in the same spot I had my bats. We were both very happy with what we got. "How about a movie at home? I can get some movie theater popcorn if you'd like? I asked and she smiled holding my hand. "I'd love too handsome,"
