Third person POV-
The three boys walked down the hallway towards the activities room. The blue haired nurse, Nemuri, was keeping an eye on them.
It was her turn to supervise Ward 1-A and boy was she nervous. Todoroki had a way of slipping out the room and going back to his room.
Bakugo usually starts a fight.
She doesn't know anything about Midoriya, just his background.
And a few of the other patients liked to cause drama.
As the three opened the room they separated.
Bakugo went to 4 other patients writing, they like to be called the 'Bakusquad' and declared the nurses call them that. Unfortunately for them it never happened.
Todoroki went off to brood in a corner.
And Midoriya well he just stood there analysing everyone in the room. He decided his best bet was to go say 'hi' to a brown haired girl and a dude with glasses.
He walked over there and stood in front of where they were playing cards. "Hi, my names Izuku Midoriya, I'm a new patient on the ward." He smiled.
The brown haired girl looked up with curiosity and jumped out of her seat, shaking his hand enthusiastically, much to Izukus discomfort 🥲
"Hi I'm Ochako Uraraka and this is Tenya Iida, nice to meet you! What are you in for?"
"Uraraka! That is a very invasive question! It could trigger something!" Iida stated, moving his hands like a robot.
Ochako widened her eyes and turned back to the green haired male. "I am so sorry! It's not very common when we get a new patient in. I hope you can forgive." She held onto Izukus hands and bowed apologetically.
Izuku took his hands back and waved them in front of him. "No, no, it's fine really. It's not the first time I've been asked." He smiled sheepishly.
"Wait you've been in a ward before?"
"Uh, yes. I recently got out of Shiketsu."
"That's on the other side of Japan, why are you here?"
"Honestly I don't know, it's just where I was brought." Izuku said, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Would you like to play with us? We're playing Poker. Do you know how to play?" She dragged Izuku into the seat next to her showing him the cards splayed on the table.
"I actually don't" He smiled sheepishly
"Don't worry I can teach you. Ochako please hand me the deck of cards over there... Thank you, now the rules are..."

After about 20 minutes of explaining and practice games Izuku finally got the hang of the game. "I won! Did you see that?" He stated excitedly.
Iida clapped and Ochako smiled. "That was a great hand there, you learnt so fast too! Now we can start betting !" Ochako rocked back and forth in her chair.
"Betting?"
"How we bet is we take it in turns and who ever completes the game wins the stuff, we basically bet on everything in here."
Izuku nodded his head thoughtfully. "What do we bet with?"
Iida spoke up, "We have a notebook here and we write things down from our room that we a willing to give up if we loose."
Izuku nodded thoughtfully. "Pass me the pad"
Ochako looked surprised. "You don't have to Midoriya-kun! You just got here, wait until a visit and then you can bet."
"No, I have things that I bought with me."
They all started to write:
Iida:
50¥
A pen
Glasses
Sock
Ochako:
10¥
A muesli bar
Joker card
Midoriya:
70¥
Ear plugs
All might water bottle (All might is a famous movie star, like Dwane Johnson)
"You have an All might water bottle? What kind?"
"Its him in the new hero movie"
Ochako gasped, "I love that movie! Hopefully they play it today after dinner"
Iida waved his arm, "Let's start"
They started playing and surprisingly Izuku won the game.
Ochako (it keeps autocorrecting to itchako 😭) did tear up from not winning the water bottle.
"Ochako it won't be the only time we'll bet. Honestly I have so many at home, so I'll bet it until someone wins ok?"
Ochako smiled and jumped into Izukus arms. "Thank you Izu-Kun!"
"Izu?"
She sat back down in her seat. "Ah sorry, I usually make up nicknames, it's makes the place more fun. Y'know?"
Izuku nodded thoughtfully. "Well if you give me a nickname can I give you two one too?"
They both looked at each other before nodding 'yes'
"Ok so for Uraraka, is Ura or Chaco. And Iida is TenTen."
"I love it!"
"It is quite suitable, I agree"
Izuku smiled finally happy he made some friends, hopefully they won't find out about his secret.
What could this secret be?
