A Piece Of Eddie

8 - "I can leave if I'm taking up your time."

Eddie had dropped me back an hour ago, in that time I had prepped all the veg, made the burgers using all the mincemeat to make chunky patty's , throwing a lump of cheese into the centre of each one. When mixing the mince meat with the other ingredients I added bbq sauce hopping that Eddie would like my version of his favourite dish. I also threw in some oven chips and prepped salad and more cheese to go in the burger buns. Everything was ready and waiting for Eddie to return, my heart was beating 1,000 times it's usual pace in anticipation for his arrival.

I had changed into a simple black skater dress with floral black tights and my choker. I knew Eddie didn't think this was a date but a girl can dream, right?

I hear a knock at the door and quickly wipe my sweaty hands on my dress as I jump up to answer it. Eddie stands at the door, his hair slightly damp so it wasn't as frizzy as usual, he had also changed. He was wearing a pair of black jeans but he had left his usual chain off, instead of his usual hellfire top he was wearing a navy blue T-shirt that hugged his chest well. We stand their in silence drinking eachother in.

" come inside Eddie you'll catch a cold being out with wet hair," I rush him inside trying not to blush as I notice his eyes kept returning to my chest, the v neck went a little lower than anything I've worn before and I hoped he didn't think I looked desperate.

He moves past me he's body presses against me for a second as he slips through the doorway. " you look amazing Avery," he says, I can't sense any teasing in his voice so I give him an genuine smile before doing a playful spin for him showing him my whole dress.

" it's not often I wear a dress Munson so don't get used to seeing my legs" I joke at him.

His eyes immediately fall to my legs, my knees weakening slightly as his fiery gaze takes my body in. " I could get used to seeing more of your legs Avery." He says the words huskily and takes a small step closer to me. I mirror his movement subconsciously, we are so close I can feel his breath on my skin.

As if our now close proximity was too much he snaps out of his daze and take a step backwards.

" did you dress up for me darling?" He pauses for a moment his smile dropping " or someone else?"

I look at the boy confused, " I dress for no one except myself, Munson" that was not true, I had worn this for him but something in his voice told me he was annoyed.

He nods his head as if thinking for a moment "you sure you've got no one you wanna dress nice for?" My heart skips a beat at his question. Does Eddie know about my crush on him?

" what do you mean Eddie?" I ask quietly my eyes staring into his.

" you're not meeting Harrington, are you? I can leave if I'm taking up your time" he spits the words out like he was angry, no as if he was jealous.

I look at him even more perplexed, " Eddie... what are you..." I realise he saw me in the ice cream shop today. " I met Steve today, I gave him my number as a friend, I made that clear to him. But why would you care if I was going to go see Steve?" I ask him, unable to stop the question from leaving my lips.

I couldn't decipher the look he was giving me. He moved towards me quickly and pushed my back up against the closed trailer door. "Of course care if you're going to see... him" he spits out angrily his breathe falling heavily into my face.

" why Eddie?" I questioned looking into his eyes. My arms instinctively move around his neck playing with his hair in a comforting manner trying to calm the anger down.

" because I think you're amazing Avery! I think you're smart, you're so fucking funny, you make my heart beat faster when ever you're around me. AND IM SELFISH" he yells the last part angrily into my face and I look at him completely star struck by the power behind his voice. He lowers his tone his hand touching my face, softly trailing along my jaw. " I think you're beautiful Avery, I'm selfish because I don't want anyone else to experience moments with you."
