Made For Loving You

Summary: Eddie thinks the only way to protect y/n is by hurting her.

Eddie had been acting weird, y/n knew this to be true. She wasn't quite sure why, she just brushed it off. It just became harder and harder to ignore how off he's been for the past few days.

The happy couple were so In love, so very much in love. It was a love that happened quite quickly, their feelings sent them into a rush of emotions. Rapidly developing into a pool of honey, nothing could be sweeter than their love for each other.

The way Eddie loves y/n is the way kids love candy, he becomes irrational when he looks at y/n wanting to swallow her whole, because he has no other way to compensate for his emotions.

It was too good to be true, it was a relationship you saw in movies or read in books, it was so perfect. Throughout the whole year they had been together, they never got into any fights, maybe slight bickering. But nothing crazy.

Over the last few weeks some shit had gone down, some shit y/n had no idea about. She went to school, did her homework, babysat her siblings, hung out with Eddie, and then went to bed. Every single day. She liked it though, even though every day was the same, she likes the consistency of it.
While she lived her normal life, there was a war going on, underneath Hawkins. Something you could really only believe if you saw it.

Eddie knew about this war going on under Hawkins. He had been in the wrong place at the wrong time, though that was well over a year ago.
After surviving the most crazy things anyone one could think of, it was happening again. This time Eddie had someone he needed to protect through it all. Someone he didn't want to get wrapped up in all of this.

Eddie just wanted to keep y/n safe, and unfortunately hurting her was the only way to do that. He didn't want her chasing him into an alternate dimension, and risking her life for him.

"Are you really going to do this man?" Steve looked over at Eddie in the passenger seat of his car. The group was just about to go on another mission to lovers lake. "If I don't, she could get hurt, she would follow me to ends of the world, I know it" Eddie said unbuckling his seat belt. Robin and Nancy gave sympathetic looks at Eddie. They really felt bad.

Man fuck Vecna 

After last year, y/n really got Eddie out of his funk. Being torn apart by demon bats seemed like a rough way to go, now surviving that and having to sit through the pain.. even worse. Y/n helped take Eddie's pain away.

Eddie knocked on y/ns window, good thing her house was a one story. Y/n looked up from her magazine, smiling once she realized who it was. She opened her window for Eddie to climb in through.

"Hey Ed's, what are you doing?" Y/n looked at Eddie in confusion, Eddie made it very clear they weren't going to be able to hang that night.
"Can I come in?" Eddie shifted on his feet, he was scared to talk to her.
"Course" y/n stepped to the side, letting her boyfriend climb in.

Eddie stood awkwardly while his girlfriend looking at him confused. "You okay Ed's?" Y/n asked putting her hand on his forearm. "Yeah.. I just have something I have to tell you" Eddie looked down at his feet. Suddenly he didn't want to go through with his plan.

"Okay, you're scaring me what is it?" Y/n was concerned, concerned something was wrong, maybe he was sick, or his uncle was sick.

"I don't know how to say it.. but" Eddie began to choke up on his words. He could feel his palms become sweaty as he fidgeted with his rings. He suddenly became aware of everything touching his body at once, and how he could feel his heart beat in his toes as they were crammed in his boots.
