Eddie's POV

"Nat 20!" Dustin Henderson's screams could be heard from miles away. The entire room started cheering and jumping up and down. I took my bow and smirked. "Alright! Alright! Ladies, I hate to break up the cheering but your mom wants you all in bed before 10 so I'm afraid this victory ends tonight's session."

All the young ones started groaning as they packed up their dice, sheets, books, and notepads. I got my dice back that I let newcomers use and packed all of my stuff up and brought it out to my van. I saw Lucas walk his bike over to Max, who was skating in the parking lot, and Will got into a beat up Surfer Boy's Pizza van that was clouded with smoke. Lady Applejack grabbed a tiny scooter and started down the street. Dustin was left standing by the door, looking out into the parking lot for his ride.

"Henderson. Need a ride?" I ask, gesturing to the van. He looked conflicted and hurt as he was deciding. "Get in the van Henderson."

He smiled a bit and ran toward my van. I smirked and jumped into the front seat. "Where we goin?" I said, turning the key.

"Um-uh-..Steve's." He said, hesitantly.

"Steve's?"

"Mhm."

"Great, I get to see the famous Steve Harrington's house." I say pulling out onto the road.

"You're sure you're good?" I called out to Dustin after seeing him stand by the door for 5 minutes. "Yeah. Yeah. He's coming." He seems hurt at the fact that Steve wasn't answering.

"Henderson. Get back in the van." He still stood there.

"Kid, he's obviously not home. You can crash on my couch." He hesitantly walked off of the porch and back toward my van.

The drive back to my trailer was quiet. Dustin fell asleep in the passenger seat. When we arrived, I got out of the driver's side and noticed a figure by my door. I squinted a bit, "Harrington?"

"Eddie, hey-" I closed my door. "I wanted to return the vest." He said, the clothing item balled up in his hand. "I didn't know how to get the blood out so you might have to wash it."

I took the vest, "I think it's more metal honestly."

He shoved his hands in his pockets, "Alright. Well I'll be going." He walked past me and toward his car. "Harrington. Dustin's in the van, you weren't at the door."

I turned around, "Oh, yeah. Um, I sorta don't live there anymore."

"Pray tell."

"My parents kicked me out when I graduated." He said, leaning against my van.

"You need a place to stay? I've got couches, floors, and beds."

He chuckled, "You serious man?"

"I was already gonna let Henderson crash, so might as well."

He took his hands out of his pockets and opened the passenger van door. He picked up Dustin and held him in his arms. I walked over and closed the door. I ran past Steve and opened the door with my key. Steve came in and placed Dustin on the couch. He grabbed the blanket that was on the floor and draped it over him. I took off his hat and placed it on the TV tray next to the couch.

"We're like two parents taking care of their son." Steve chuckled.

I smirked and took off my leather jacket, "Yeah. Suppose we are."

"You can sleep on the floor or take my bed." I said, walking into my room.

"I don't wanna take your bed man." He protested, following me. His eyes opened in amazement when he entered my room. "It's honestly fine, as long as you know, you don't mind the...stains." I cleared my throat. "There are some spare shirts in the closet there if you need em"
