Part 46 - A New Family Member

"Mama!" I hear Lucas and he comes running to me. He's just one year old and he is already running. He started to walk around 9 months and at 11 months, he was walking really good. And now, he's running and I'm scared to see him falling. I sit on my knees and I take him in my arms.

"Hi, baby!"

Hero: "Just mummy made you, little one?" He comes next to me and Lucas giggles at him.

Jo: "He missed mummy, babe. You send him with Mercy before I woke up."

Hero: "Let's go to eat, you haven't eat anything since breakfast and you and baby need some food."

Jo: "Okay, daddy."

Hero takes Lucas and we walk to our table where we start to eat. He feeds Lucas, even if I wanted to feed him, Hero declined it, telling me to feed the baby inside me. After they eat, Hero and Lucas dissapear from our able and I see Kath coming to me.

"Hello Mrs. Fiennes-Tiffin." She hugs me from behind.

"I think it's Langford-Tiffin. I want to have the same name as my son."

"Oh, nice. I have to tell you something."

"I'm listening."

"Let's take a walk outside."

"Okay."

Me and Kath walk outside to one of the cocktail tables.

"So? What's up?"

"Well, Lucas and your new baby will have a cousin!"

"Oh my God! You're pregnant?!" She nods and I hug her. "I'm so happy for you, Kath!"

"Thanks sis! I will need you advice in a few months, I have no idea how to take care of a baby. You did a really great job with Lucas."

"Thank you. But you will do a great job raising your kid. No one is born with this mother instincts, but with time, you will feel more relaxed. Believe me, I talk from my experience. I was scared when I was pregnant with Lucas, but now, I'm feeling more relaxed."

"And you still don't want to know what you're having?"

"Nope. We want to be surprised at birth."

"Oh, okay..."

"David is happy to know he will be a father?"

"He really is." She smiles. "I hope we're both having girls."

"I want healthy babies."

"Alright, that's the most important thing."

"Kate, are you planning to steal my bride?" I feel his hands wrapping around my belly.

Kate: "No, she's all yours. I'm going to find my husband. Bye, love birds!" She leaves and now, it's just me and my boyfriend. Husband.

"How are you feeling?"

"I'm full of happiness." I smile.

"That's good."

"Where is Lucas?"

"With my mum, why?"

"Just asking. Shall we go back inside?"

"Yep, sure."

We walk inside the restaurant and we go to talk with our guests. After a few hours, everyone is gone and it's just us and our families.

Elizabeth: "We're leaving, darling!" She hugs me. "It was so nice to be here with all of you!" She rubs my belly. "I can't wait to meet our second grandchild."

Jo: "It was nice to spwnd some time with you. And Lucas really enjoyed your presence."

Stephen: "Take care of you and your boys, darling." He hugs me.

Jo: "I will, dad."

Kate: "Bye, sis! I wish you a long life with your baby daddy."

Jo: "Thank you, sis! Keep me updated about your pregnancy, okay?"

Kate: "Yes."

We say goodbye to my family and now, it's just me, Hero, Lucas, Mercy and Martha.

Martha: "I think this boy wants to stay with grandma and auntie."

Jo: "Oh, it's alright, Martha. We're good."

Hero: "I think it's a good idea if she'll stay with them. At least tonight, so you can get some rest."

Jo: "Okay..." I sigh and I take Lucas from him. "Bye, bye, baby. Mommy loves you!" I kiss his face and he giggles, giving me a smile.

After Hero says goodbye from our boy, Mercy takes him and with Martha, they leave.

"Shall we go home?"

"Yes, I'm really tired after this day."

"Good, let's go home, love."

He let his hand on my lower back and we walk to the car. The backseat is full of flowers and presents. Today was a good day. I felt love and I'm happy for what happened today: I got a husband and I hopr to spend the rest of my days with him.

As Hero parks the car in the front of the house, he helps me to get out of the car and when we arrive at the door, he lifts me up, one arm being under my knee and the other around my body.

"Hey, what are you doing?" I giggle. "I'm heavy!"

"I have to do this with my wife." He opens the door and we get inside the house, then he let me down, giving a kiss after.

"We should bring the gifts inside, I want to put the flowers in vases."

"Okay, I'm going to get them."

"We will get them."

"No, I got it. Go and change in some comfortable clothes until I'm back."

"But I can help, Hero."

"I don't want you to help, okay?" He pecks my lips. "Now, go upstairs and put some pajama on you. Maybe a dress and some sexy lingerie, so I can take care of them later." He smirks and he dissappears outside. Ugh... This man of mine...

I take off my shoes and I walk upstairs, in our bedroom. I walk to our dressing and I pick up a sexy outfit. Red lace lingerie and the bra has a tulle like a dress, so I won't need something else to cover. I walk back to our bedroom and I take out some candles and I light up just two, being sure that we're not in danger.

A few moments later, Hero comes in our bedroom and his jaw drop on the floor.

"Close your mouth, babe, or else you will get bugs in it." I walk to him and I put my hand under his chin and I close him mouth, kissing his mouth. "Thank you for today, Hero."

"I'm glad I made you happy." He wraps my arms around me.

"I didn't expect this."

"It was unexpected, but I thought that our second baby shouldn't come to not a proper family."

"Will you be mad if I keep my name and I add your name to it? Like Lucas?"

"Langford Tiffin?" I nod. "Yes. And for the baby the same?"

"Yes."

"Good. Now, we can talk other time about it. We should spend our wedding night."

"Okay." I smile and he starts to kiss me.

We end the night making love for the first time as husband and wife. I'm glad me and Hero decided to give us a chance and I know he is the love of my life. And I can't wait how we will be as a complete family in a few months.

Kate gives Jo the news about her pregnancy and she's really happy for her sister 🥰

And when everyone is gone, Hero and Jo are alone at home, enjoying their first night as husband and wife ❤️
