~Chapter Twenty-five~

I jolted awake, shoving my body off of where I was lying down into a sitting position. As I looked around I realized that I was in my own room and settled down a bit but I couldn't remember falling asleep.. Just sasuke holding me.. 'Shit!! Sasuke!?' I jumped out of bed and ran through my door and started to search the apartment. I found him out in the balcony lent up against the metal bars that was bolted to the edge. I opened the glass door and I lent my body against the frame and looked up at my old friend. I smiled and then walked toward him.

"Well good morning, you're up early." I said as I gave him a small smile. He looked at me and then nodded his head for me to follow him back inside. We made our way into the kitchen and I took a seat as he pored us some coffee I assumed he made it not too long before hand. As he walked to me with cups in hand and sat down at the small round table I got a nurvous feeling in my stomach. He passed me one of the cups and then took a sip of his own. Sasuke looked at me and as we sat there in silence I figured out that he still wanted to know about my past and what happened. I had no idea what he wanted to know so I stayed silent and waited for his questions.

"Is your brother alive?" I smiled at his simple question.

"Yes, he is. This is our home." He nodded.

"Who brought you to the village?"

"A few good friends of our parents." I took a sip of my coffee.

"Why didn't you let me know you were here? You could have trusted me with your secret.." I looked at him and smiled.

"I have tried countless of times to show you that I was here without letting anyone see me.. But you never realized that it was me.. I guess you assumed it was one of your stupid fans.. But after a while I just gave up.. I stopped sneeking out of my room to just get a chance to see you.. I was on constant watch because of how many times I've gotten close to calling out your name in public.. I just wanted to talk to you.. I guess because I knew you were feeling the same way I was.. Alone and lost.." He was speechless by my confession. I took another sip of my coffee and looked at the time and almost spit it right out.

"Shit!!" I got up and ran to my room ripping off my clothes in the prosses. I quickly grabbed a white tank top and a pair of blue shorts to throw on as fast as I could and as I was getting dressed I called out to sasuke whom I had left in the kitchen probably wondering what the hell was wrong with me.

"If we run like hell we could still make it to your house before we have to go to the academy!" I grabbed my coat and shoes as i ran out of my room. I looked at him and saw confusion on his features. I sighed and tried to explain why we had to leave.

"If we don't leave NOW we won't be on a team and if we are NOT on a team then we will have to restart this whole prosses NEXT year.. And I would like to start going on missions as SOON as I can.. Do you understand now?" As I said this I put on my shoes and tied my hair up in a messy bun. He realized that what I was saying was correct and started to get his shoes on. I tossed my coat on as we walked out of the door. I locked it before we ran off in the direction of his house. We made it there in no time at all, he quickly ran in and changed his clothes, coming out side in a black shirt and grey shorts we started our run to the academy.

~Sasuke's POV~

As we ran together moments of last nights conversation replayed in my head. I never knew her to be so vulnerable.. 'How could I not see how much she was hurting.. How did she fool me so easily? Even after I went through her drawing pad and saw for myself what she had inside of her head.. Maybe it was because she was always so easygoing? Or because she has changed from the kimi I used to know.. My kimi.." I looked at her running besides me keeping my pace and even challenging me to go faster with out realizing it I felt my face start to burn a little... 'She most defiantly has changed..' I shook my head and tried to keep my gaze forward. 'There are still some times where I see and feel my kimi inside of her.. Shinning through the walls she put up..' Only my eyes turned toward her and saw that same smile from when we were little. I felt the corner of my lips move upward just a little. 'Maybe she'll let me in. Maybe I can save a little of my kimi..' We were almost to the academy when we heard the screech of girls coming towards us from our right side. I sighed and jumped up onto a near by roof top. Only a few short seconds later kimi was right next to me glaring at the group of females searching for me on the street below.
