Every night when throats sleeps tired–
From days talk
Feet's carry's to bed to relax from holding
The back so long, like an old wooden desk with
Graffiti written all over, trying to support everything
On its head as it stands on one leg the other one–
Broken...
The human body is like a car engine it needs a break
To so it won't burned out.
Lights out, baby weeps in a crib a mother rocks
She says "shhhh, don't cry my baby it's alright mama is here", and
Sings twinkle twinkle little stars while the infant
Closest eyes dreams for babies, the mother dark
Circle around her eyes she the one who's ready to
Knock out like a light.
Down stairs my step dad drags himself to bed for
Another day of work having watching to much
Action movies eating and drinking beer.
While me–
I twist and turn, fluffs pillows, throws bonnet away
Somewhere in the dark it gets lost on the floor
It's hot, I'm hot, wishing I could just jump in a
Frozen pool an ocean of water
Freezing cold water, this isn't new to me fidgeting trying
My best to fall asleep, I count sheep's hoping I'll
Fall deep.
