Minghao opened the door to your shared apartment to find the whole place in darkness.
"My love...I'm home " he calls out, only to be met with a faint "I'm here" from the bedroom.
The tiredness in your voice concerned him. 'She must be overworking herself' he thought, entering the bedroom he met with the sight of documents laid out on the bed, the room dark with only the light from the laptop illuminating your face.
"Hi honey ...how was your day ?" You said getting off the bed and walking over to Minghao. "My day was great but you look so tired...what did I tell you about overworking yourself ?" He cupped your face in his hands gently fearing if he let go you might get hurt. "I'm really sorry Hao...it's just...I've been swarmed with work and I can't even get myself to get up". You lay your head on his chest, his heartbeat calms you.
" I get it but you really need to take a break....yknow what?...let's go to the beach...you wanna go to the beach??!" He excitedly started grabbing your shoulders ....you could help but laugh at your usually composed boyfriend getting this excited.
" I don't know Hao I mean...."
"C'mon love ...it's the beach where we first met in a weather like today ...you can't deny that" he pleaded and you having the biggest weakness for those puppy dog eyes of his gave in.
In about 15 mins you both got ready and were on your way to the beach. Getting closer to the beach a flood of memories came over you both. The day you first met, it was on a day just like this.
Walking down to the beach the warm and salty afternoon air refreshed you both. The sound of the waves and the soft rays of the sun made Hao look so pretty, you were falling in love with him all over again.
"Thank you for doing this for me ...I really needed it" you said clasping his eyes.
He looked at the glimmers of happiness in your eyes and couldn't help but smile ....
"That's what lovers are for"
