chapter fourteen, episode six
the day that wasnt
NEVER do anything for the boy you might like. Bonnie was wrong, she hates herself at the moment for being so stubborn, she hates that she cares about five so much that she had to go with him even though she had the choice to say.
bonnie quickly went over to a bush in the left and held her arms over her stomach as she puked inside of it. she would never get used to the feeling of that space traveling thing. five walked over to the girl and stuck his hands out of his short pockets and she grabbed her hair in his hand and held it away from her face as she continuing puked.
once she was done puking she cleaned herself with a white cloth that the handler gave her. bonnie starting to walk behind them with her arms wrapped around her stomach, five glancing at her every second to see if she was okay.
"I must admit, bonnie. I'm quite glad you decided to come with us." the handler stated, "in all the time that I've been here, I've never met anyone quite like you and five."
"thank you?" bonnie said her eyesbrow frowned as she jogged up to five still holding her stomach. five gave her a reassuring smile before looking back at the handler.
"Hazel and cha-cha, for example, are talented, certainly, but..." the handler sighed shrugging her shoulders, "they can't see the big picture."
the handler pulled bonnie by her arm and wrapped her arm around her shoulder causing Bonnie to instantly tense up, "your courage, your thrill for the kill well, it reminds me a great deal of myself."
the handler smiled at her dropping her arm away from Bonnie's shoulder and glanced over at five. "you two are the perfect pair, I'm sure of it."
five grabbed the piece of clothing from Bonnie and brought her closer to him making sure that the handler didn't see. Bonnie still had the overalls with a black shirt on but they were dirty now and she felt dirty.
"if things work out for you guys here," they walked up the stairs and Bonnie started to feel very much overwhelmed, "you could potentially make a fine successor, bonnie and five."
once they entered the big building the handler took off her jacket and gave it to a guy that walked to her. "I'd like to discuss the logistics of my family's safety at your earliest connivence. and as much as I hate to say it, I will be dealing changing my body."
Bonnie didn't him giving her a glance as she was looking around the building, watching the people dressed in a different time period. she was beyond confused but right now, it wasn't the time to ask five questions.
"such chutzpah." the handler said sending five a smile and this time bonnie did notice it. "it's refreshing. I'll admit. slow down, five. all in good time. in fact, now that you and bonnie finally agreed to work with us, we've got all the time in the world."
bonnie was starting to wonder off away from them and five quickly grabbed her hand intertwining them together pulling her back towards them as they entered a room that was filled with briefcases.
"the commission works in support of a delicate balance between the time line of events and mankind's free will. the briefcase is no longer part of your kit, five and Bonnie you will never get a briefcase either. free your mind. you two are management now." the handler said wrapping her arm around five and bonnie did something about it. she pushed herself in between them - still hand in hand with five - and send the handler a sweet innocent smile as she glared down at her. "one of us."
they walked up the stairs to another hallway. "all the people on this floor are case managers, each one responsible for one major event at a time." five and Bonnie stood on one side of the door looking inside watching people sat down on a desk typing something on a typewriter.
