Days turned into a week passing by, and it was time to face the thing I'd been dreading most. It was time to move my things out of Kyle's apartment. I wasn't sad, but I knew Kyle was going to make this impossible for me. He was going to act like a child, spiteful things were going to be said and I'm sure some of my things were going to end up broken. I can't put it off forever though.I was smart enough to not do this alone though, Lindsay had asked Adam to help us. They actually were a thing now, which was great but funny at the same time. Weed bringing people together, who knew? Adam said he'd let us borrow the truck, but he'd also insisted on being there during the move. Honestly I was grateful for the offer.
"You ready? Adam is out front." Lindsay calls from the front window.
I grab my key to Kyles place, secretly hoping he won't be home. It's unlikely but a girl can dream. "Yup, all set." We get into Adams truck, and begin the short drive.
"One legend that tried to fuck with me and got the venom. One publication that said that I would never be in it. One agent that told me without her, my career is finished, and I couldn't give a single fuck inside my cerebellum." Colson's voice blasts through the speakers.
"Wasn't his show fucking epic?" Adam says over the music blaring.
"They always are. It was even more epic this time around cause you met me though, right?" Lindsay says and nudges him with her elbow.
He playfully rolls his eyes. "Well of course babe, that's exactly what I meant."
She giggles and kisses his cheek. "Well, watching my best friend get crazy on stage was pretty epic too."
I feel my cheeks heat up. "Oh, stop it."
Adam laughs at us. "I mean, it is getting pretty viral on YouTube Madison. Fuck, last I checked it was at 500,000 views. What was it like hanging out with him? Was he surrounded by hot women and weed?"
Lindsay and I side eye each other, we may know what happened backstage, but Adam doesn't. Lindsay knows I'm keeping it private. I have no desire to get attention from the great Machine Gun Kelly fucking me, it was between us. Not the whole world."I mean, not really. We just hung out, smoked a little bit, and I met Dj D. It wasn't chaotic or anything, it was fun." I shrug and smile, trying to keep a straight face like I'm telling the truth. Lindsay and I are both struggling to keep our composure so I'm thankful when my phone beeps.
Colson: Ayyy, girl. Where you at?
Some how, I've managed to keep Colson's attention during this last week. Even on show nights he'll text me at crazy late hours, which means I have been thrown off any sort of normal sleep schedule. I wasn't complaining though, who needs sleep?
Me: walking into hell, don't you have rehearsal?
Colson: hell, huh? Imma need some details, cause last time I checked my childhood was hell and I know you ain't going there. Rehearsal is over sugar spice, it's drunk time.
I frown when he says this, I only know from his songs and the media about his childhood heartaches but it still makes my heart hurt for him.
Me: I'm moving my things out of Kyles house, anywhere near him is my version of hell. He's going to be a dick, and I'm just mentally preparing myself. Drunk time? Does this mean unreadable texts are in my future?
Colson: you tell that little bitch to step off or imma come down there and pop off.
Why you think they call me the Gunner? I'm poppin' off on anybody if they trigger me
I cover my mouth to hide my stupid smile. Lord why was that so fucking appealing, why did I find that act of aggression so sexy? Somethings fucking wrong with me.
