Chapter 11

Fitz POV

I whispered whore under my breath, and Sophie heard me. "Don't you ever call me a whore again." She said and collapsed to the ground. "Fitzroy Avery Vacker." I looked up and saw mom. "You were supposed to me in Atlantis." I said. 

"Yes we were. We were shopping for something nice for you and Biana, but after we got a call from Biana we rushed here." Dad said looking at me in disbelief. He had clearly heard what I said.  "Fitz. The fact that Sophie likes someone else doesn't make her a whore." Mom said loud and clear. "Now, frankly I wouldn't  like you very much either,  after you acted this way."

"Also, who have you called a whore before? The word came with such ease from your mouth." Dad stated and looked at me questioning. "As much as I love mom and dad scolding Fitz, shouldn't we make sure Sophie is fine?" Biana said. "Right, yes Biana, very smart." Dad said. Mom ushered me to the side and checked Sophie's pulse just in case. Worry clouded her eyes. "There's no pulse."  Everyone froze. 

Biana was the first one to recover. She gave me the side eye and hailed Elwin. Elwin came super fast and ushered everyone out. "Out, out ,out!" "Oh Marella, hail Livvy I need back up" " On it!" She shouted and Livvy came inside almost 30 seconds later. 

Everyone else was giving me the stink eye, but Keefe looked fidgety. Like he knew why this happened.  "Keefe" I said. He looked up at me and his eyes were clouded with worry, and he looked guilty. "What every you did it's not your fault. DO NOT feel guilty. If your mind breaks I can't help you." "Thanks Fitz, but it really is my fault." Keefe started to tremble. "I can't take it anymore. I gave Sophie an elixir to make her fall in love with me." Then he started crying. I've never seen Keefe cry. "The bottle had a side effects note and it said "may cause death", but I didn't think any thing of it." 

Dex started laughing. "It's not funny." Keefe said. "So you  got the prank bottle. It doesn't actually  kill anyone, it just hides their heart beat. Sophie just passed out and Della couldn't feel her heartbeat." Keefe sighed "oh thank god." 

"Umm guys, should we tell Elwin?" Marella said. Right on que Elwin came in the room. "Sophie isn't dead." "We know." Everyone said at the same time. "Ok well anyways, Sophie's heartbeat was just hidden so that's why-" "Della couldn't  feel it, we know." Everyone finished at the same time. 

Elwin laughed. I guess you won't be needing me anymore. He took his bag and disappeared into the shimmer light, leaving nothing more than a breeze of wind. 

Everyone bolted for Sophie, but I got to her first. "Sophie I'm so sorry, I just can't imagine my life without you and I didn't mean what I said. Ever. Except that I love you. I love you Sophie from the bottom of my heart and I want to spend the rest of my life with you." She smiled. A true, Sophie smile.  "I love you too Fitz." She planted a kiss on my lips and hugged me. "Why is everyone giving the side eye to Keefe?" Sophie asked. "You really don't remember?" 

Sophie shook her head. "No not really."  "Oh well we can talk about it later, let's have lunch now." Marella said. Everyone nodded and we started walking toward the kitchen. Keefe pulled Sophie aside and said something. I saw tears brim Sophie's eyes as she hugged Keefe. 

The hug lasted a good few minutes. But I wasn't worried. My perfect Sophie. I'm happy she forgave Keefe. If she forgave Keefe so have I. Everyone else just has to forgive him too.

I continued towards the kitchen to give them some privacy. They came into the kitchen a few minutes later, holding hands. "Guys I forgave Keefe and I want you guys to forgive him too. He had a good reason to do what he did. It wasn't completely right, but it wasn't completely bad either." "We forgive you Keefe." Biana said and hugged him. Everyone joined in, and we were all in a group hug.  

After lunch

"The matchmaking scrolls are here!" Biana shouted, bolting into the living room. She handed the scrolls to everyone and sat next to Dex. "Should we open them at the same time?" Wylie asked. Everyone nodded too nervous to speak. "3, 2, 1" everyone opened them and started reading. I was too nervous to start from the top so I started from the bottom. 

The first elf on my list that I knew was Marella.

I looked up at Sophie and she was looking at me. "Is everyone done?" Biana asked. Everyone nodded. "To make this fast how about we tell our number ones and where everyone in our group is placed?" Marella asked. Everyone nodded again. 

"I'll go first." Dex said. "#67 Marella Redek, #8 Sophie Foster, #2 Biana Vacker, #1 Syden Babblos." 

"I'll go next" Sophie said. "# 37 Dex Dizznee, # 3 Keefe Sencen, #2 Fitz Vacker, #1 Tam Song."

 "I'll go next." Marella said. "#47 Wylie Endal, #34 Dex Dizznee, # 2 Fitz Vacker, #1 Jensi Babblos." 

"I'll go next" I said. "# 29 Marella Redek, #1 Sophie Foster." 

"Me next." Biana said. "#21 Wylie Endal, #17 Keefe Sencen, # 1 Dex Dizznee."

"Me next!" Keefe shouted. "Geez Keefe no need to shout" "Anyways. #12 Biana Vacker, #10 Marcella Redek, #3 Sophie Foster, #1 Syden Babblos."  

"Me last." Wylie said and chuckled. "# 39 Biana Vacker, #26 Sophie Foster, #2 Marella Redek # 1 Lihn Song." 

After Wylie finished everyone started talking. Wylie, Keefe and Marella went into other rooms to call their #1.
