Chapter 9

PETE'S POV

"Pete, can we talk?" Mr. Kinn told me when he saw me walking in the hallway.

"Okey Mr. Kinn" I answered and followed him instead.

I wanted to go to the kitchen, cause I'm hungry and I don't have anything else to do.

I just finished my phone calls with Mr. Takhun and he is asking me what kind of presents he will bring for me.

They are coming in a few days. And I don't know how to tell them about me and Vegas.

Speaking of Vegas, it's been three days since the last time we talked.

They told me that he came here the other day, but I hide from him.

It hurts me knowing that he has already a son, but he hides it from me. I thought he didn't like a woman, but why he has a son now?

I bumped into Mr. Kinn when he suddenly stop walking. Now I can smell the different perfumes in him. Not like before he needs to use Vegas perfumes just to lure me.

And Mr. Kinn already apologized after what happened before.

We entered his office and sat on the couch then he gestured for me to sit opposite him.

"Did you two fight?" he asked while leaning comfortably on his back on the couch.

"No Mr. Kinn" I answered shortly because I don't want to tell him the true feelings I have right now.

"But based on your look, something is troubling you. Ah, let me guess about his son, right?"

I didn't answer him and just stared at the floor.

"That's why you are avoiding him again, why not just go to him and ask him about his son," he muttered again

"You know Pete, if you really have feelings for Vegas, just go for it. And don't torture yourself like that." now he keeps on mumbling words

"Everyone of us has happiness in life that we want to fulfill, if your happiness is him, then go. We are letting you go if you want to choose him"

I looked at him and I wanted to tell him that I'm also afraid of what other people will tell about us, but he beat me to it.

"I know what's in your mind, because of what other people will say to you. Your happiness is not their happiness Pete. Don't listen to what other people will tell you to do, listen to your heart. Yes, I know their words may hurt you, cause I've been there before. But the most important thing is Do what makes you happy, go and be happy and leave those negative people behind you."

"Thank you Mr. Kinn" I answered him still absorbing what he just told me.

"I will explain to Takhun whatever your decision is. Now go if you don't want to lose him or else someone will take him to you." then he smirks.

Now I'm starting to get anxious about Mr. Kinn's words.

His last word is still stuck in my head since I left his office.

I am going to kill that someone else if he takes Vegas from me.

I went outside to look for a driver to take me to the minor's house. I don't care if we are going to use their expensive car.

I want to see him as fast as I can.

"Take me to the minors' House" I ordered the guy standing nearby and then went inside the car that already park nearby.

"But this is..."

"Just take me there, Mr. Kinn told me already I can use this car. Now sit down and take me there" then he followed suit while scratching his head.

Fifteen minutes had passed, and I'm already at the minors' house.

Some guards are questioning me why I am there but I didn't give them a damn look and just walk straight inside.

I know where is his room so I don't need to ask them anymore.

I'm almost at his door when I heard a baby cry from the other room that is already open.

"Stop crying, because of you I am going to lose Pete again" I heard Vegas shout.

I hurriedly went near the door and peeped, just in case I saw someone but I only see Vegas and the baby there.

Vegas standing in front of the crib, and the baby is still crying.

"I am going to take you back where you belong, so Pete will come back to me," he said shouted again and the baby cried hard like he is hurt.

Like he understands what is he saying.

I'm happy to hear what Vegas just said, but I can't stand the baby's cries, and it's bothering me the way he cried. He didn't do anything and it hurts me to hear his cry.

I walk inside and go near the baby's bed.

"Pete, is that you?" Vegas was stunned upon seeing me.

"Why are scolding the baby he didn't do anything" now I'm defending his son.

"Pete I'm going to explain," he said and try to hold my hand.

Then I turn my gaze to his son. I'm hurt after seeing his son because his son looks like him.

But I can't stand his crying so I tried to hold him.

After touching the baby's body, I can feel that he is warm. Then I put him back and touched his forehead then checked my forehead, and do the same thing again.

"You have a thermometer somewhere?"  I asked him getting worried.

"I don't know" Vegas answer

"Vegas go find a fucking thermometer," I snapped at him, and then his son cried again so I carried him in my arms.

He stopped immediately after carrying him.

Now I can feel his body is even hotter.

But when I looked at Vegas he was still standing there.

"Vegas, I'm not going anywhere so you can explain to me later why you didn't tell me that you have a son. But now I want you to go and find a thermometer" I said sternly.

He keeps on glancing at me while walking through the door.

"Faster Vegas" I shouted at him.

When he came back I took the thermometer and took his son's temperature.

"Vegas, prepare his bag, we are taking him to the hospital"

"Why?" he asked confused

"Vegas it's 40°C, it's not a normal fever anymore," I said nervously.

Why I am being nervous about his son getting sick now? And I'm not supposed to be helping him with his sick son. But my heart can't stand the situation.
