Chapter 2

A few days passed all Ash did was eat, sleep, hang out with Pokémon, cry in the cave, and occasionally talk with Goh. Chole was already worried after her talk with Goh and now everyone was worried about Ash sense he hadn't been adventuring like he loved to.

The adults decided to leave well enough alone since they knew Ash hadn't been feeling well but Chole was super worried so she decided to talk to Goh to see if he had figured anything out but of course because of his promise he said he didn't know anything and that Ash was probably just sick. Chole didn't buy that for a second because she could tell when Goh was lying, but she decided to just go and talk to Ash herself. Chole went and found Ash in the Pokémon enclosure playing with Pikachu  looking both happy and sad at the same time. "Hey Ash are you okay?" Chole asked startling Ash "Ya I'm fine just not feeling the best, I'll probably be completely better in a week or two." said a startled Ash. "Are you sure you're fine Ash? You've been sick for almost a week already." Asked Chole again. "Yes I'm fine I'm just not feeling very well. Why does everybody keep asking me if I'm okay? it's getting kind of annoying." Said a very annoyed Ash. "I'm sorry Ash you just haven't been acting like yourself so I wanted to make sure you were fine." Said a worried Chole. Ash started to walk off to the cave because he and Goh had decided to meet there to talk and play with Pikachu and Grookey. Chole secretly followed behind Ash because she was still worried and hid right outside the cave entrance so she could hear everything that was going on.
Goh was already inside the cave and they were both ready to talk since these daily meetups were the only time Ash talked with anybody and the other time anyone really saw Ash. "So Ash how ya been? Are you feeling any better?" Goh asked Ash "I'm doing a little bit better and I'm fine other than the fact that Chole asked if I was fine which is starting to get annoying because everyone keeps asking me that." Ash said a little angry. "Ya well everyone's worried about you. The only reason people are leaving you alone for the most part is because one I'm talking to you and you are talking to me and two because they think you're just a little sick. Ash I know that you don't want anyone to treat you differently or laugh at you but I think if this feeling doesn't clear up soon we should really tell someone." Goh said calmly but also worriedly. "No way am I telling anyone they would all laugh at me only babies get" Ash trailed off because he heard a noise outside. Chole had stepped on a branch and was hoping they hadn't heard, but it was clear that they had because of the way Ash had abruptly stopped. She started to back away slowly when suddenly Pikachu and Grookey had come barreling out of the cave and tackled Chole to the ground and Ash and Goh came running out. "Oh," exclaimed Goh "It's just Chole, you two can get off her now," Goh said as Pikachu and Grookey climbed off "So Chole what are you doing here?" Asked Goh. "Oh I was um, just walking by." Said Chole "And you were hiding in the bushes why? That doesn't seem like you were just passing by." Goh said. "Fine," said Chole, "I was worried about Ash so I decided to follow him and you two started talking so I decided to listen in anyways so Ash what were you about to say?" Chole asked snapping Ash out of deep thought "What?" Ash asked "Woah Ash you good there you seem very shaken." Said Goh. "Ya I'm fine I was just thinking." Ash answered. "What were you so deep in thought about Ash?" Chole asked nit realizing she was pushing. You for the past week when Ash had gone deep in thought especially when someone snapped him out of it he began crying only for the past couple days had he been able to not cry coming out of his deep thoughts, but when Goh had dared ask what he was thinking about last time he was in deep thought even after Ash had come out not crying Ash started sobbing. So as soon as Chole asked Ash that question he bolted because he hates it when people see him cry. Ash ran around the enclosure several times untill he finally lost both Goh and Chole.

Ash POV:
Then Ash headed to the only place he had found true peace for the past few days, Drizzile's old home the space reminded him of all the times he had to hide out in a cave with his Pokémon before the time that inspired him to become a trainer and the time after he lost a gym battle in Kalos which helped him reconnect with Greninja. Good times for Ash before he started feeling homesick those thoughts helped him not feel as homesick so he would often stay in that cave for hours on end and sense it was just after lunch he could stay in there till it was almost dinner time

Goh and Chole POV:
After they had lost Ash tgey had gotten into a heated argument "IT'S YOUR FAULT ASH RAN AWAY WHY DID YOU HAVE TO PUSH AND FOLLOW HIM?!?!?!" Goh yelled angrily. "HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW ANYTHING ITS NOT LIKE YOU OR ASH TOLD ME ANYTHING I WAS WORRIED YOU AND ASH ARE MY BEST FRIENDS I WANT TO MAKE SURE YOU GUYS ARE OKAY!" yelled Chole. "Look Chole I'm sorry I yelled at you and you and Ash are my best friends two its just that Ash has barely started opening up to me recently, you know he keeps to himself a lot more then he should, anyways we need to find Ash so you can apologize for making him run off." Goh stated. "Okay let's go find Ash and figure out what's wrong well at least so I can figure out what's wrong since you already know." Chole said.
