Chapter 6

Later that night...
"Look Ash can you please just tell me what's going on?" Goh said pleadingly. "What do you mean? You already know what's going on." Ash said, confused. "I mean why you're suddenly so mad about me knowing. Does it have something to do with the dream?" Ash shuddered ass soon as Goh brought the dream up but quickly said "No I just don't want people to know, that's all." Ash responded trying to stay calm. "Why don't you want people to know? Everyone could help you." Goh said. "Will you just give it a rest I'm tired good night Goh." Ash said, and turned off the lights.

Ash decided to wake up early and go for a walk in the forest, unfortunately for him Chole and Goh also decided to wake up early and tag along, despite Ash's many protests. "So Ash are you feeling okay?" Chole asked Ash, who got very annoyed by this question. "Yes Chole, I am feeling fine. Thank you for asking" Ash said annoyed and stubborn. "Okay Ash, I was just checking." Chole said. "Ya, well, you checking all the time is kind of annoying." Ash said annoyed, noticing that Goh had stopped walking, but Chole was still going. Then Ash noticed why Goh had stopped. There was a canyon that Chole was about to fall into. "Chole wait." Ash called out but as soon as she turned around Chole slipped off the edge. Ash ran and caught her but ended up sliding down with her. "Chole are you okay?" Ash asked, once they got to the bottom. "Ya I'm fine," she said "What about you?" "I'm fine." Ash said. "Ow." Ash said, as he tried to stand up but couldn't. "What's wrong Ash?" Chole asked concerned. "I think I just twisted my ankle a little, I'll be fine. Let's get out of here." Ash said, he tried to stand up but it hurt to much to stand. "Look Ash you're in no condition to try to climb up that ledge, we'll have to find a different way." Chole said, seeing Ash struggling. "Chole I'm fine really I just need a minute." Ash said. "Ash I know you don't like to admit when you need help, but sometimes you actually need it, and right now is one of those times." Chole said stubbornly. "Hey, are you guys okay?" Goh said, turning up right behind Chole. "Ya we're fine, but how did you get down here?" Ash said. "Oh, there's a sort of stair case a little ways away, we can get up from there, come on let's go." Goh said starting to walk off in the direction of the stair case. Ash tired to get up again, and he did but he made it about a couple of feet to a rock then he had to sit down again. "Ow." Ash said as sson as he sat down. "You good there Ash?" Goh asked concerned. "Ya, ya, I'm fine, I just need a minute here." Ash said, trying to play off how much it hurt. "No Ash is not fine he twisted his ankle, I'm not sure he'll be able to make it to the staircase." Chole said stubbornly. "I already told you, I just need a minute." Ash said, kind of annoyed at this point. "Well if you twisted your ankle then you won't be able to make it to the staircase, much less make it up it. Me and Chole can go get help, or actually Ash do you have dragonite with you?" Goh said, an idea forming in his head. "Ya why?" Ash responded. "You can ride out on Dragonite and me and Chole will ride out on flygon." Goh said. "Okay let's do it." Ash said enthusiastucly. Ash and Goh brought Dragonite and flygon out and got on them, they got out of the canyon and back to Cerise labratory.

"What happened?" Professer Cerise asked when they got back, seeing that Goh was helping Ash walk. "Ash twisted his ankle, trying to save me when we were falling into a canyon." Chole told her dad the story. "Well first off, Ash thank you for saving Chole, and second off you should probably get that ankle checked out." Professer Cerise said. "Well I didn't really save her, I just tried to keep her from falling, but that didn't work out, as you can see." Ash said, referring to their dirty clothes and Ash's ankle. "Well the thanks still stands anyways let's get you to a doctor so they can check out your ankle." Professer Cerise said. "Can I come." "Ya me two." Chole and Goh said. "Well I see no problem with that, let's all go." Professer Cerise said. They all went out to the car, Goh was still helping Ash walk. "Come on everybody let's get in." Professer Cerise said. "Actually Professer if you don't mind I'd rather take Dragonite." Ash said. "I guess that's fine." Professer Cerise said. "In that case I'll take flygon." Goh said. They made it there and back. "How long did the doctor say again?" Ash asked. "The doctor said about a week Ash." Professer Cerise told Ash. Ash had twisted his ankle badly so the doctor bandaged it and gave Ash crutches, to help him walk. "It'll be fine Ash me and Chole will be here to keep you company. So if there'sanything you need just tell us." Goh said trying to cheer Ash up, but it wasn't working,  so Ash headed off to his room. "Why don't you two go hang out with him and try to cheer him up." Professer Cerise suggested. "Come on Chole let's go." Goh said.

Goh and Chole got to Ash's room and saw him sitting on his bed looking sad. "Hey buddy so what do you wanna do?" Goh asked. "Well I was planning on playing with the Pokémon but I can't exactly do that anymore." Ash said, sounding frustrated. "Well you can still hang out with Gengar, Pikachu and Lucario while you're in here, why don't you bring them out?" Goh said, trying to make Ash feel better. Ash brought Gengar and Lucario out and realized that they hadn't been out of their Pokéballs since he started feeling homesick. "Sorry guys, there's been a lot on my mind recently, I didn't mean to leave you in there for so long." Ash apologized. "Sorry Ash, I didn't mean for you to hurt yourself." Chole said apologetically. "No worries, it was an accident. Besides it's not like something like this hasn't happened before." Ash said. "What do you mean?" Goh asked.  "Oh, well you see when I was traveling around in the Kalos region me and my friends went to a 3 day summer camp. We were trying to find a location to film and Serina, one of the people I was traveling with, fell into a canyon and I tried to catch her. But, like what happened today I just ended up falling into the canyon with her." Ash said. "Did you twist your ankle that time too?" Chole asked. "Actually come to think of it ya I did." Ash said, starting to get a little bit happier. They all talked in Ash's and Goh's room, and before they new it, it was dinner time. Chole and Goh grabbed some dinner and brought some back to the room for Ash. "Thanks." Ash said. "No problem Ash." Chole said. "So, um, Ash, Goh told me that you've been feeling a little bit" Chole   was cut of by Ash. "GOH WHAT DID YOU TELL HER?" Ash yelled, angry. "Dude, relax all I told her is you've been feeling a little bit sad, and she asked why, so I told her to ask you herself." Goh said, trying to calm Ash down. "Chole is that true?" Ash asked. "Yes and that's what I was about to ask is why have you veen feeling sad." Chole said, a little shaken by Ash's outburst. "Nothings wrong. I am fine." Ash said angry. "Ash just by that sudden outburst I can tell somethings wrong. So just tell me what it is already!" Chole said, now a bit angry as well. "I already told you nothing is wrong. I am fi" Ash said choking on the last word. "Ash Ketchum you're not fine so please I'm  begging you just tell me whats wrong." Chole said, tearing up. "I-I can't!" Ash said "I really can't." "And why can't you?" Chole asked. "Because." Ash said barely managing not to tear up. "Because why?" Chole said. "Because I'm-I'm." Ash said. "Because you're what?" Chole asked. "Because I'm scared okay, is that what you wanted to hear, I'm scared." Ash said starting to tear up. Ash looked away at the wall. "What are you scared of Ash?" Chole asked. "He's scared that you'll laugh at him or call him a baby." Goh answered for Ash who was about ready to start crying. "Ash," Chole said as ahe put her hand on his shoulder, "you know I would never laugh at you or call you a baby. We all have stuff we're going through or have gone through and that's okay, no one will laugh at you whatever this is. Where would you even get that idea?" Chole said sympathetically. "Do you promise?" Goh asked for Ash, knowing Ash would be to embarrassed to. "I promise." Chole said confidently. "Okay, I'll tell her." Ash said, almost choking on his words. "K Ash what is it?" Chole asked. "I've, um been feeling, well um," Ash started then looked to Goh for reassurance, Goh gave a nod for reassurance. "Well I've been feeling a little, no a lot, um," Ash hesitated, "h-home-si-sick." Ash barely managed to finish be cause he was choking on his words so much. "Oh, that's what's been bothering you, Ash I get it, when I was younger I felt homesick all the time. It's nothing to be ashamed of, we've all felt that way before." Chole said sympatheticly. "But only babies get homesick." Ash said, about to cry "That's not true, you probably don't know this, but a few years back I started feeling homesick." Goh said, a little bit embarrassed. "Really?" Ash said. "Ya, but I never told anyone because I was embarrassed." Goh said, turning red from admiting it. "So how did you fix it?" Chole asked. "Um... well you see... the thing is, um... I kinda, sorta, maybe, just a little bit, haven't fixed it." Goh said, as he turned red from embarrassment. "So you feel homesick two?" Ash asked, surprised. "Just a little." Goh said turning an even brighter shade of red. "Has anything helped you to not feel as homesick?" Chole asked. "Honestly just knowing Ash is going through the same thing has helped me a lot." Goh said. "Wow, I wish I had known sooner." Ash commented. "Well I was going to tell you after you told Chole when we went out of the cave, but then you fainted, so ya know." Goh said. "Oh, speaking of that Ash do you know why you fainted?" Chole asked. "I think I was just overwhelmed." Ash said, trying to shrugg it off. "Oh ya, Ash I've been meaning to ask you what was the dream that tou had when you fainted about? You seemed pretty shaken when you woke up." Goh said, curious. "Dream? What dream? I don't remember any dreams. huh huh huh." Ash said trying frantically to play it off as if he didn't remember, but he couldn't hide the panic in his voice, giving away the fact that he remembered the dream. "Ya Ash remember, when you fainted, you woke up and were shaken, you said you had a nightmare. So do you remember what it was about?" Goh said. "Um..." Ash said.

P.S. SORRY about long long all the paragraphs are I don't really like to break up my writing unless there's a little time skip or it goes between different POV's.
