she walked downstairs with a wince and emerged into the kitchen
"-can't she just like look at a picture on her phone or something?" was the first thing Maria heard. "ok get out!" Jeremiah looked at Steven who leaned over his shoulder while he cooked
"morning" Maria muttered
"the princess has awoken!" Steven clapped, Luis and Jeremiah quickly joined in
"ha ha" Maria rolled her eyes and walked straight through into the living room. Conrad was on the couch clutching his head
"yo" he looked up at Maria
"yeah, right there with you" she winced and plonked down on the couch. Conrad lay his legs on her lap as she leaned her head against a pillow
"can you hurry up?" he called through to his brother impatiently
"just go back to bed! both of you!" Jeremiah responded
"why are you all dressed up?" Luis asked as when he came into the room
"i'm not dressed up" Maria frowned
"i have never seen that top before" Luis stuck to his point
"do i look in the right state of mind to explain the concept of summer shopping to you right now?" Maria groaned
"yeah man shut up your voice is like...bleh" Conrad waved him off
"whatever man" Luis laughed at the two and stalked off into the kitchen. Maria and Conrad both sort of dozed off on the couch for a while until the blender started buzzing making them both startle awake
"-they'll complain when they're conscious" Jeremiah said to Laurel as he came through to hand Maria and Conrad his "hangover smoothie"
"thank you miah" Maria smiled weakly
"let me see your face" he grabbed her chin and tilted her head so he could get a good look at the bruise that had formed on the right side of her nose
"i'm fine" Maria promised
"hmm, your lucky i have to leave soon" Jeremiah sighed and walked off "what do you want to eat?" he asked
"i don't eat breakfast you know that" Maria tutted
"everyone knows that" Conrad agreed
"that wasn't the question i asked" Jeremiah gave her that look that said; "no way am i backing down"
"did anyone buy those good muffins?" she asked
"no sorry" Jeremiah shrugged
"fine" Maria sighed and stood up, stumbling into the kitchen with her drink. she put on some toast and opened a cupboard to find nutella
