"He's right she's fit as fuck" Maria nodded, having the best angle
"Let me see" Belly shoved Maria out the way so she could see
"No she's not hot. That's not what I'm thinking" she frowned sceptically
"Yo that could be their future stepmom" Luis pointed out
"Dude what the hell!" Steven shoved Luis
"As long as she's not like Nora you'll be fine" Maria recalled one of her father's numerous rebounds

"Guys they're coming!" Jeremiah exclaimed and they all leaped back from the door, Belly and Steven attempting to look casual while the rest of them made themselves scarce
"Or Grace she was a bitch!" Conrad kept going with the stepmom thing
"I'm pretty sure Dad's had a new girl for every thanksgiving since...since I don't even know" Luis laughed.
"When do you think he'll get here?" Jeremiah asked as they all sat down in the living room
"Who knows, he hasn't spoken properly to me since...um...since I called him a shitty Dad" Maria shrugged with an accepting nod
"Do you think he'll show up with someone?" Luis asked Maria, both of them bonding over their crap Dad
"If he does I'll piss on her Loubuittons" Maria sulked
"How do you know she'll have designer shoes" Conrad looked at them, unimpressed

"On 3" Luis put his hand on the door handle and got ready to open it
"Screw that" Maria shoved him out the pulled open the door
"Hola Mis hijos" The man gave his gleaming rich person smile and opened his arms for his kids to hug him which the did hesitantly
"Now I know we have a lot to talk about but let's leave that to later huh? Have some Thanksgiving fun first?" He asked without dimming his smile
"it's so good to see you Dad!" Luis hugged his father. he had no clue what the man was saying.
"you too Luis" José patted Luis' back, clearly disheartened that he couldn't talk to his own son in his own language
"where are you staying for the weekend?" Maria asked, arms crossed
"um...i'm actually not staying. i've been in Seattle for a few weeks now so i need to go home, set up the house and get back to the office" José sighed in that business man kind of way
