I thought I was nervous moving to Missouri but no, I have never been as nervous as I am right now, we are currently about 45 minutes away from the house Liam grew up in. The blues beat Dallas 4-5 and not going to lie but I'm so proud of them but more so because Liam and James scored. The closer we get to the house the more worried I become as I keep thinking what if his mum thinks I'm ruining his career because I'm pregnant, is his sister going to think I'm some sort of desperate puck bunny instead of generally head over heels in love with Liam.

As if he can sense these thoughts, he places he's hand on my thigh and speaks confidently, "baby they are going to love you and this baby so much", "I'm just worried that your mum is going to think I'm ruining your career because I'm pregnant, or your sister is going to think I'm some sort of desperate puck bunny instead of generally head over heels in love with you. I don't want them to hate me because I'm pregnant" he brushes his thumb along my skin which seems to help as a stress reliever, "hun, my family will be overjoyed that we are expecting, you know their social media stalked you the second we got off the call and my mum messaged me 'you did good finding her' I promise you have nothing to worry about", once his focus was entirely back on driving, I interlocked our hands and brought the back of his hand to my lips before leaving a gentle kiss on his knuckles before bringing our hands back down on my lap.

We pull up to the gorgeous country house with white picket fence, small wooden porch with swing, the front garden full of plants and flowers, there are two windows either side of the front door and three on the upper level with one small ish rectangle window in the attic where Liam said his room is. I am currently wearing small beige heeled ankle boot with skinny black jeans, a white cami top and big beige knitted cardigan and my long blonde mane loose. We unload our suitcase, well I say we Liam won't let me lift a thing so once he's got the suitcases out he wheels them to the front door before knocking on the white door. Seconds later his sister greets us by jumping onto her brother and his mum comes and pulls me in for a big bear hug which I haven't had in over three years, and then they swap and Charlotte gives me such a warm and inviting hug which reduces me to tears, "I'm sorry to cry, its just the last time I had such a warm hug other than Liam was my mum and dad".

Once we were inside and our bags in Liams room which is exactly how you would expect, hockey memorabilia everywhere and a large double bed with hockey sticks and pucks all over the duvet, we bring the two boxes which contains a pregnancy test, sonogram photo, a little onesie with either worlds greatest grandma or I love my auntie with a pair of ice skate booties.

Liam gives them both their box and before they can open it Liam says, "we had another reason for wanting to visit you guys, open the boxes" they both excitedly untie the bow and remove the lid, his mum starts crying as she holds the sonogram and Charlotte jumps on Liam holding the onesie, his mum walks over to me places her hand on my bump and hugs me all while whispering "I'm so glad my son found you, thank you for giving me a grandchild", "Mrs Archer, I should thank you for raising such an amazing son, who I'm so lucky to have in my life" I start tearing up before she pulls away from the hug and says, "you either call my mum or Diane your family now darling".

The rest of the night we converse about life, how me and Liam met, the night leading to me getting pregnant, how I found out, how he found out and then we went to bed. "So you still nervous that they won't like you" Liam smugly said as we lay in bed with my head on his chest, legs intertwined with each other and hands on my bump, "no, I just never thought they would be so welcoming, I spoke to Stevenson and he said that when him and his girlfriend at the time told his parents they were pregnant, they flipped about how it would ruin his career", and then Liam countered "and now look at him a successful goal defender with three kids and a wife", "I just thought your mum wouldn't like the fact I'm pregnant, but clearly I was wrong". We fell asleep at some point after that conversation just listening to the crickets and A/C.

Waking up the next morning, Liams half of the bed is empty but I smell bacon, so I jump out of bed, put on some bicycle shorts a Liams t-shirt and wondered down the four flights of stairs which I had Liam carry me up yesterday evening as I was tired. In the kitchen I found Liam, Charlotte and Diane with an unfamiliar girl, who is practically leaning on Liam, "ah, baby your up" Liam sung as he walked over to me, kissed me and then kissed the bump, almost as he is claiming me, "this is Charlotte's best friend Gemma", she looked over to me and scowled, "hi, I'm Abby, its nice to meet you" I said as I leant into Liam as he held me impossibly tight to his body, "yeah yeah, whatever, what sort of tramp are you allowing your son to be with Mrs Archer" she says as she looks at Diane, "look she's clearly a puck bunny who wants some extra money, so got pregnant, you have known me for years, I have a good respectable job and good family", Liam then steps in "are you trying to convince my mum to disown my pregnant, successful girlfriend for you, a girl who by what I have heard can't keep her legs closed, sorry Charlotte I know she your best friend but please remove her from the house", "no problem, Gemma get the fuck out for upsetting my future sister in law, and never contact me again".

Once she left we had a great couple of days, visiting all Liams old friends and hangout spots, we even went on a picnic date to the end of their farm where it is just wheat. The whole three days were perfect, we spoke to Charlotte and Diane about coming over to visit us soon in our house soon as they said they would like to watch Liam play in front of his home crowd.
